ormer Elizabeth man and Fphotographer, Eric Algra, is set to cast his eye over the City through the lens of a camera during the SALA Festival in August.

Algra’s work puts local people squarely in the frame as he captures the essence of the community as it passes through a period of transition.

“My home town Elizabeth has always stayed close to my heart,” Algra said. “The transition occurring there is not unique; it is a universal, global story.

“It’s around people mostly, their experience of having grown up here, those that are still here and how the (Holden) closure might have affected them and how they see their future.”
