2016 CONTENT LEADERSHIP AWARDS HALLE STANFORD Executive Vice President, Children's Entertainment Executive Vice President, Children's Entertainment Halle Stanford leads the Company’s development and production of all preschool and children’s programming for television, home entertainment and digital media in animated and live-action formats. A nine-time Emmy®- nominated children’s television producer, she is an executive producer on the award-winning series Sid the Science Kid and Dinosaur Train, which currently air daily on PBS KIDS® in the U.S. and in multiple markets around the world, as well as Doozers, a CG animated preschool series inspired by characters from Fraggle Rock, which debuted as the first Hulu Original for kids in 2014 and currently airs on Sprout. She is also an executive producer on the live-action preschool series Hi Opie!, the Emmy®-nominated preschool series Pajanimals airing daily on Sprout; and the Lifetime Thanksgiving television feature Jim Henson’s Turkey Hollow. She most recently served as executive producer on the upcoming preschool Netflix Original Word Party set to premiere July 2016 and the animated series Dot., based on Randi Zuckerberg’s popular book scheduled to premiere on Sprout in September 2016. Stanford is currently in production on the groundbreaking marine biology series Splash and Bubbles for PBS KIDS® and the Netflix Original preschool show Julie’s Greenroom starring award-winning actress Julie Andrews. She is also developing an untitled children’s series based on children’s books from Al Yankovic. Stanford co-authored a book series, "Jim Henson’s Enchanted Sisters," a collection of fantastical comedy-adventure stories for girls published by Bloomsbury and currently in series development with Cyber Group Studios. Stanford joined The Jim Henson Company in 1993 and has developed and produced many well- known properties for the company since that time. She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Film and Theater from Wesleyan University and lives in Los Angeles with her sons Max and Theo. Christopher Keenan Senior Vice President, Content Development and Production & Executive Producer, Mattel Creations Mattel, Inc. Christopher Keenan is a highly accomplished creative executive, executive producer and writer who has enjoyed over twenty five years of success in the animation, kids and family entertainment industries with thousands of hours of content to his credit. As the SVP Content Development & Production at Mattel Creations, Keenan is responsible for Mattel’s content portfolio of iconic brands such as Thomas & Friends®, Barbie®, Bob the Builder®, Monster High®, Hot Wheels®, Fireman Sam®, American Girl®, (Emmy-award winning) Mike the Knight®, Ever After High® and Little People®. He oversees creative development, current production, and technical operations teams worldwide. Under his leadership are Playground Productions in El Segundo, the HIT content creation team in London, the Tech Ops team in New York and the American Girl content creation team in Middleton, WI. For nearly two decades, Keenan led the development and production of television series, DVD features and online shorts for original and franchise properties at Warner Bros. Animation. As Senior Vice President of Creative Affairs, he oversaw creative efforts for some of the studio’s most important brands: Scooby-Doo, Batman, Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, Pinky & The Brain, Animaniacs, Batman Beyond, Xiolin Showdown, Mucha Lucha and many, many more. In addition to his accomplishments in the Animation division, Keenan was instrumental in the original launch of Kids’ WB!, the children’s programming service of The WB Network and served as head of programming for its first three years. Previously, he was recruited by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment as Story Editor to develop animated feature films and television series and he has also served as Director of Children’s Entertainment for Capital Cities/ ABC, Inc., overseeing the network’s Saturday morning schedule and After School Special development. After leaving Warner Bros. in 2005, Christopher Keenan set up Creating4Kids, Inc., an independent, U.S. based development, production and consulting firm. Under his Creating4Kids banner, Keenan has worked with a diverse roster of global clients and partners. Highlights include consulting and story editing on Amazon Studios’ Emmy-award winning, stop-motion animated preschool series from Bix Pix Entertainment, Tumble Leaf; developing Fruit Ninja for Halfbrick Entertainment; leading master classes in animation development at Cartoon Network Academy in Abu Dhabi; shaping the series development of Umigo for WildBrain/DHX Media and executive producing Iconicles for Create Media. Christopher Keenan graduated from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, USA where he studied Communications, Theatre and Education. His thesis, a groundbreaking and award- winning, original theatrical production (which he wrote, produced and directed), received national attention and resulted in a Fellowship Grant to attend UCLA’s Graduate School of Theatre. .
