Limit of Candidates Election Expenses

The Limit on Candidates’ Election Expenses per elector in the above noted constituency on Wednesday 24 March (i.e. last date for publication of the Notice of Election) is based on a maximum sum of:

Long Campaign Short Campaign – begins on 6 January 2021 and ends on – begins the day after you officially become a the day you officially become a candidate candidate and ends on polling day 6 May 2021 (The earliest date you can officially become a candidate is 25 March 2021) £21,500 + 6.3p per elector £8,700 + 9p per elector in a county constituency in a county constituency

It must be stressed these amounts are maximum amounts and in addition to verifying the relevant calculation given below (the accuracy of which is not guaranteed),

Candidates and their Election Agents must ascertain the amounts applicable to themselves by reference to The Scottish Parliament (Elections etc.) Order 2015 (Part 3).
