Dave Pittman aka CoconutHead From 1995 to 2001, the band CoconutHead supplied the gulf coast panhandle with top-notch acoustic Jimmy Buffett music. Now based out of the upstate of South Carolina, Dave Pittman, the lead singer and acoustic guitar player, continues to perform solo as CoconutHead. CoconutHead is just what the parrot heads ordered! Playing a large selection of acoustic Jimmy Buffett tunes, Dave Pittman covers everything from the popular “Songs You Know By Heart” to the more obscure parrot head favorites. His song list includes music related to Jimmy Buffett such as In the Meantime, Chain of Love, and Suzannah by Buffett’s guitarist Peter Mayer, crowd favorite hits by Bob Marley such as No Woman, No Cry and Redemption Song, and the Eagles' Tequila Sunrise served up right along side Margaritaville. A long time parrot head himself, Dave Pittman knows exactly what Jimmy Buffett fans want: Acoustic performances with the intensity and freshness that Jimmy Buffett had when he started in the 1970’s. Let CoconutHead excite your crowd into a Feeding Frenzy with requests and audience sing-alongs. Far left: Dave plays on St. George Island, FL Left: Greg “Fingers” Taylor plays with CoconutHead in Tallahassee, FL. Right: Dave entertains the parrotheads in W. • Show Description
Show Description Jimmy Buffett is the world’s most famous beach bum. He has marketed his love of Beaches, Bars, Boats and Ballads into a billion-dollar business. He has sold more albums and filled more concert venues than most musical superstars. He has written best seller list books and has a string of successful Margaritaville store/cafes. Buffett’s fans are affectionately known as Parrot Heads. They are found in every demographic and walk of life and are among the most loyal fans in the world. The tropical appeal and “state of mind” known as Margaritaville exists in all of us. It may be the lure of the tropics or some other “parrotdise”, wherever, Jimmy’s music can take you there, and so can this show. Barrie has been performing Buffett’s music for almost as long as Buffett himself. He has also traveled many of the same roads and even played some of the same places Jimmy played on his road to fortune and fame. He takes the show goer on a musical tour. It’s like an ‘ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFETT”. BC sings all the “songs you know by heart” like “Come Monday”, “Cheeseburger in Paradise”, “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes”, and the national anthem of all Parrot Heads, “Margaritaville.” He also performs songs Jimmy recorded like Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl”, and the C,S,N&Y’s nautical hit “Southern Cross” as well as contemporary hit recordings like his duet with Alan Jackson, “It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere” and Zac Browns “Knee Deep.” Jimmy Buffett Coral Reefer Band member and alumni ROGER BARTLETT (Original Duo Partner and Lead Guitar Player with Jimmy Buffett) is featured in the show making this the most credible and authentic Buffett tribute show anywhere.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FEBRUARY 20, 2013 COUNTRY SUPERSTAR KENNY CHESNEY TO ROCK THE 4TH OF JULY AT THE 2013 GREENBRIER CLASSIC CONCERT SERIES [White Sulphur Springs, WV] The Greenbrier, the classic American resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV, has announced that country music superstar Kenny Chesney will top a star-studded musical lineup at The Greenbrier Classic Concert Series, July 1-7, 2013, coinciding with the resort's fourth annual PGA TOUR FedExCup Event, The Greenbrier Classic. Kenny Chesney, a four-time Country Music Association and four-consecutive Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, as well as the fan-voted American Music Awards Favorite Artist, is known for his high-energy concerts that regularly sell out NFL stadiums. "This country is an amazing place," says Chesney. "I can see it every night at my shows: all the heart, the passion and the fun I can see out in the crowd. And to be able to spend the 4th of July somewhere as historic as The Greenbrier, that's a pretty incredible place to celebrate our nation's birthday!"
