Stephen Allen Davis Vice President – Commercial Aerostructures Division Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc.

Steve Davis is Vice President of the Commercial Aerostructures Division for Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. He was named to this position in January 2008 and oversees all aspects of business at the Vought sites based in Grand Prairie, Texas (Marshall Street facility); Hawthorne, Calif.; and Stuart, Fla. He also is responsible for Contour Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vought that manufactures airframe components.

Mr. Davis previously served as Vice President of Programs, a position he held since April 2006. He was responsible for all aspects of program management for Vought’s commercial and military customers, including marketing/business development, business management and design engineering.

Prior to that, Mr. Davis was General Manager of Vought’s Boeing Commercial Business, an area he led since July 2001. He was responsible for all of Vought’s commercial programs with Boeing, including the new 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Other commercial programs include the 747 fuselage/empennage; 767 wing center box, aft fuselage and horizontal stabilizer; 777 flaps/spoilers; and various pressurized doors for Boeing aircraft.

Throughout his career, Mr. Davis has held positions with increasing responsibilities, including Vice President of Boeing and Gulfstream Commercial Program; Vice President of Dallas manufacturing sites; and Vice President  Internal Fabrication of the Integrated Systems and Aerostructures Sector of Northrop Grumman Corporation.

His career with the company began in 1980 when he joined the materials organization of the former Vought Corporation, a subsidiary of The LTV Corporation. In 1986, he was named Manager of Production Support on the C-17 program. In 1989, he joined Vought’s Boeing Program Office and was named Director of 747 End Item Management in 1993.

Mr. Davis received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in 1976. He has held various offices in the company’s Management Association.
