4 Divided Sections out Of-Shoe Boxes, Cardboard, Etc

Feudalism Project

Directions: Students will be placed into groups of two. Each group will be responsible for creating a 3D model of the Feudal System in Medieval Europe and a model for the Feudal System in Japan. The models will have 4 different sections, each representing a class from the system. Students will explain why each section is designed the way it is. Each student will be responsible for answering the inquiry questions as well as completing the Venn Diagram comparing the two systems.

How to make sections

 4 divided sections out of-shoe boxes, cardboard, etc

 Design each class with clay, photos, actions figures, legos, print-offs, etc

 Label required pieces (see label section)

 Provided a written explanation as to why the class was designed the way it was

Europe Japan

 Top: Kings Figure Head (Emperor)

 3rd from Bottom: Nobles Warrior Class (Shogun, Daimyos, Samurai)

 2nd from Bottom: Knights Peasants

 Bottom: Peasants/Serfs Merchants

Labeled Items (3D designs must include labels and summary for the following items:

 Royals (King/Queen) Emperor

 Nobles Shogun, Daimyos, Samurai  Knights Peasants

 Serfs/Peasants Merchants

 Manor

Additionally, homes for each class must be created and you must explain the jobs/tasks of each class.
