At present there is no recycling within River Chase. The following information my assist you in the current trend of “LIVING GREEN”.

Comal County – Sattler (VFW) Building, FM 2673and River Road, Wednesday 6:30 – 11:30am www.co.comal.tx.us/ click services, then all services, then “R” to find recycling.

New Braunfels - Located at the end of Butcher, off 400 block of Castell. Every day but Wednesday and Sunday, 8 – 12 and 12:30 – 4p. www.nbtexas.org/recycle click on city recycle center. Site also contains info about other recyclables

For tires or brush there is a charge and specific location, Resource Dr., listed on the Comal County website.

OTHER RECYCLABLE ITEMS AND LOCATIONS THAT TAKE THEM

Batteries: All locations for Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Office Depot, Office Max, RadioShack, Target, Sam’s.

Cell Phones: All locations for Best Buy, Office Max

Coat Hangers: consult local cleaners

Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) bulbs: All locations of Home Depot

Computers/electronic waste: check Best Buy.com for locations

Grocery Bags (plastic): Most HEB and Walmart

Motor Oil: All locations for AutoZone and Walmart Tire and Lube

Newspapers: Any green and yellow recycle bin at schools, churches, other organizations, take newspapers and magazines but do not accept phone directories or cardboard.

Plastic Bags: HEB bins

Household furniture (usable): Check with local thrift stores, Habitat for Humanity. Salvation Army and Hope Hospice also do pick up.
