Basketball Free Throw Assessment

Basketball Free Throw Assessment

 I will be using this chart to measure someone's ability to perform a jump shot and free throw using the B.E.E.F technique with 10 free throw and Three Point attempts

 Goal: Increase free throw percentage

 Audience: Boys and Girls ages 18 +

 Equipment: Basket ball, Free throw line, Three point line, and a basketball court.

 Pre Assessment:

o Out of 10 attempts see how many free throws the student can make.0-3 poor, 4-7 fair, 8-10 good.

o Then Out of 10 attempts see how many three pointers the student can make. 0-3, 4-7 fair, 8-10 good.

 Post Assessment: o After looking at the BEEF technique assessment and checking the students technique repeat the 10 free throw and three point assessment. A passing grade will be a student making 10 or more free throws and three pointers combined using the correct BEEF method.

 This Assessment is both formative and summative. The pre assessment is to see where the student is at with making free throws and three pointers. This will help to see what form or technique changes need to be applied using the B.E.E.F method. After determining the needed adjustment and some practice then there will be the post assessment. The post assessment is to see how much the students technique has improved and to see them make more free throws and three pointers than before because the technique is better.
