Parents And Citizens Association News

Parents and Citizens Association Meeting: 3:30pm 18 July 2016. Another amazing event was held on Sunday with the Minden Markets. We were so glad the weather turned out to be beautiful and warm (a little cold in the morning).

This is a community event raising money for Minden State School. We want to thank all our stall holders, parents and visitors for supporting the monthly markets and making it possible to raise the money needed for the air-conditioning at the school. Having air-conditioning at the school will benefit all our children and the future children of Minden State School.

We had a bigger turnout during our July event with more stalls and visitors. It was fantastic and it was great to see so many families come along and visit the market. Last month we raised 19% of the money needed, we are just waiting to find out how we went this month and will keep you all updated through our facebook page.

At the moment we only have a small amount of volunteers working around the clock to make sure it all runs smoothly prior to the event and on the day, but we need extra hands. A lot of what we do is home based so emailing potential stall holders, posting on facebook and ringing companies who may be interested in providing a donation. If you can spare just an hour or two a week please contact the team at Hope to see you at our next Minden Markets on [email protected]. We would really Sunday 14 August. love some extra help to make the Minden Markets more successful and the place to be Homebake Fundraiser every second Sunday of the month.
