Job Description: Thamesmead Town FC Football Academy Post-16 Football & Education Academy Head Coach 2014/15 Reporting to: Academy Programme Manager – Dan Wells Hours and rate of pay: Up to 10 hours a week, term time. Up to £20 per hour Contract type: Casual/Self-employed ------

Main Duties:

The post holder will be required to:

 Select and coach the Post 16 College /School squads in conjunction with the respective College /School and TTFC Academy Programme Manager.  Provide appropriate playing opportunities for all squad players, in coordination with the appropriate staff.  Monitor and assess the players in the squad’s in training and in match performances.  Contribute to and take part in a programme of continuing professional development for the Academy Coaches group.  Contribute to the scouting and talent identification process where appropriate  Undertake continuing professional development (CPD) as appropriate to meet the demands of the role  Work towards qualifications in Coach Education in order to contribute to the in house coach education scheme  Undertake administrative tasks related to the role, including fixture programming, record keeping and database input  Contribute appropriately to the development of teaching and coaching resources  Undertake pastoral and welfare duties in conjunction with the college/school and contribute to parent’s evenings, meetings and maintain relationships with parents, teachers and other appropriate persons  Adhere to staff guidelines and codes of conducts of TTFC/Trust Thamesmead and school/college

The following attributes are essential to the role:

 Minimum UEFA B Coaching License  Age appropriate F.A. Certification  Experience of coaching in the 16 -18 age group  Experience of working with under 18 age group  Good interpersonal and communication skills  Must be able to work and contribute in a team situation  Must be able work on own initiative and make decisions  Dynamic Coach  Ability to prioritise workload  Excellent organisational skills  A strong motivator, with high enthusiasm  Excellent group management skills  Full clean driving license – in addition D1 category would be preferred  Experience of working within a school or college environment
