Orrick currently has an opening for a HRIS Coordinator. This position will be located at the Global Operations Center in Wheeling, WV.

Responsibilities:
The HRIS Coordinator will have the primary responsibility of providing Human Resources Information System (HRIS) support for PeopleSoft data entry functions.
You will provide support for PeopleSoft data validation and entry including: • You will receive Employee Action Notices, Employee Separation Notices and other transaction information. Review the inbound information for accuracy and completeness. Contact people originating the forms to correct data and add missing information. • You will work to ensure compliance with Orrick's data standards for our PeopleSoft system. Train new PeopleSoft users in both how to use the on-line system and how to process various transactions. • Maintain employee information in the PeopleSoft HRIS database. Coordinate status changes with the payroll and benefits departments. • You will maintain organizational and position-related data in the PeopleSoft set-up tables. • Maintain records so that PeopleSoft transactions are auditable. • Craft queries and reports to validate the accuracy of data. • Provide backup for producing daily/monthly scheduled reports and ad hoc queries. • Research issues and make recommendations for continuous improvement in the areas of customer service, productivity, efficiency and management of information.
Qualifications:
• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience. • One to three years demonstrated experience in a HR department of a professional services organization preferred. • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel and Word) required. • Familiarity with database management systems a plus. • Experience crafting SQL queries and reports a plus. • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar HRIS systems preferred. • Capable of both good collaboration and independent problem solving. Be self-sufficient when needed. • Able to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion. • Excellent customer focus, along with strong verbal and written communication skills required. • The position requires you to have strong attention to detail and be highly accurate. • Ability to multi-task and organize information required.
