“ Events of the Day”

The morning was spent in happy greeting and talking as each arrived. A large basket lunch was spread in the shade of the big live oak tree in the yard. There were lots of stew, fried chicken, gravy, vegetables, salads, cakes, pies, puddings, ice tea and cold drinks. The dishes were washed by Allen Scott, Dossie Kirksey and Brown Scott, who certainly entertained everyone while washing them. The afternoon was spent in talking and making pictures.
