SUPERVISORS MEETING

Meeting of February 21, 2007

CALL TO ORDER

ROLL CALL

Supervisor Gary Ahle, Town Clerk Orval Schloemann, Highway Commissioner William Peach, Trustees: Gary Hursey, Kenneth Joseph, Joseph Hubbard, Attorney Alex Libell, and Recorder Debbie Dawson.

Absent Excused: Motion made by Supervisor Gary Ahle to excuse Glenn Loyet and seconded by Gary Hursey.

Others present: Gary Fohne and Gerard Helldoerfer

APPROVAL OF SUPERVISORS MINUTES

Kenneth Joseph made a motion to approve the minutes of the Supervisor as presented and Gary Hursey seconded the motion. Roll call 4 ayes. Motion carried.

SENIOR REPORT

None

YOUTH REPORT

Kenneth Joseph reported that the next Youth Committee meeting Monday night March 19, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. Kenneth Joseph made a motion to approve the Junior application to the Youth Committee for Samohya Turner and Gary Hursey seconded the motion. Roll Call 4 ayes. Motion carried. Kenneth Joseph made a motion to approve the Freshman application to the Youth Committee of Michael Edward Sullivan and Gary Hursey seconded the motion. Roll Call 4 ayes. Motion carried. Kenneth Joseph reported that they had a good attendance at the last meeting except there were no adults. They had a Pool Party scheduled for the Spring, and they purchased 30 tickets for the September Baseball game, the end of April or beginning of May they are looking into a Bowling party. They also approved the donation of $750.00 for the American Legion Baseball Team and the donation of $500.00 for the OTHS Robotics Team.

PLANNING

Joseph Hubbard reported that City of O’Fallon has annexed the following property at the Illini Trails Subdivision located on the south side of Kyle Road, east of Illini Drive, east of future Illini Trails additions. TRUSTEES

Kenneth Joseph stated that the Road District crew did a wonderful job on the roads during the storms and the snow. He wanted to say well done to the employees. They deserve some reconciliation for the job they do.

SUPERVISORS REPORT

Gary Hursey made a motion to approve the Financial Packets of January and seconded by Kenneth Joseph. Roll call 4 ayes. Motion carried.

Supervisor Gary Ahle stated that we received papers from Wyvetter Younge’s office about the Housing Affordability Impact Note, concerning Ameren utility freeze and how the people voted. If wanting any more information you may look it up on the computer.

St. Clair County Emergency Management Agency will be having a briefing on Ice Storm After Action which will be held March 5, 2007 at the St. Clair County Courthouse in the County Board Room on the 5th floor at 10:00 a.m.

Supervisor Gary Ahle stated that the Township received a paper for Sgt. Jon Brough Benefit and wanted a donation. Kenneth Joseph stated that he feels really sorry the family but it is out of our jurisdiction. Supervisor Gary Ahle stated that he would talk with the rummage sale volunteers and see if they would be interested in donating.

NEW BUSINESS

Supervisor Gary Ahle had a rummage sale proceeds worksheet done to show the board how well the rummage sales were going.

Supervisor Gary Ahle stated that the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce-Business After Hours Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at the Knights of Columbus, 402 E. Highway 50, O’Fallon from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Supervisor Gary Ahle stated the Annexation report was reported by Joseph Hubbard in the Planning Report.

Supervisor Gary Ahle read a letter from HS Contractors, Inc. wanting a written explanation as to why the three lowest bids were declined and also an invoice for their cost to estimate the project. Alex Libell said that he would respond to them in a letter from their law office. APPROVAL OF SUPERVISORS BILLS

Joseph Hubbard made a motion to approve the bills of the Supervisor as presented and seconded by Gary Hursey. Roll call 4 ayes. Motion carried.
