Sub: Inviting Participation in the All China Leather Exhibition, Pudong, Shanghai, August 31- September 1, 2017
About the All China Leather Exhibition: The All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) Shanghai 2017 is a Fair for Raw Materials including Leather & other Synthetic Materials, Chemicals, Components & Accessories, Machinery, Technology etc. The All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) is organized jointly by APLF Ltd, and the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA). ACLE was launched 17 years ago as a business platform aimed at the Chinese market. Since then, ACLE has continued to grow attracting both Chinese and international exhibitors who wish to penetrate the Chinese market.

Post Show Report of September 2016 Edition –
The facts of the exhibition’s performance are as follows:
Exhibitor numbers rose from 1,044 to 1,167, up 11.8% with an enthusiastic participation of Chinese companies.
An increase was also seen in visitor numbers, in particular Chinese visitor numbers with a rise of 8% and visitor numbers 5% on Day 1. Total visitor numbers of the three exhibition days have also recorded a slight increase, remaining at 23,000+ with a 3% increase in Chinese buyersfrom the main manufacturing provinces of that country. from 103 countries and regions.
Exhibitors showcased a wide selection of high-quality leather, leatherwear, footwear, leather chemicals and machinery as well as the latest leather accessories.
About the Chinese Market: China is an important market for leather and leather products. China’s import of leather & leather products increased from US$ 5585.70 million in 2010 to US $ 8530.41 million in 2014, growing at a CAGR of 8.84 %. China with its large Footwear and Leather Products Industry is also a big market for Leather, Components, Chemicals etc. Council’s participation in the ACLE August 31- September 1, 2017:
Considering the market opportunities in China, and positive feed back received from our member- exporters in the Council’s participation in the previous 2016 edition of the ACLE Fair; the Council has decided to take up this activity in the CLE’s Self-Financing plan for the year 2017-18. Also, the Council’s Group participation in the ACLE fair under Self-Financing is subject to enlistment of minimum 10 CLE member-companies.
Participation Fee: The Council will organize an India Pavilion for Finished Leather, Components & Accessories in the ACLE in Built-up Booths of Minimum Size of 9 sq m Stand. The tentative Participation Cost is Rs.415,000/- per 9 sq m booth. Larger booths with size measuring in multiplies of 3 sq m i.e 12 sq.Mt, 15 sq.Mt, 18 Sq.Mt etc can be taken by members. For every additional 3 sq m Rs.122,000/- has to be paid additionally.
Submission Of Application - Interested member-exporters are requested to send in their Application Form (Pro-forma enclosed) along-with Cheque/DD towards the ad hoc participation charges as per the space requirement mentioned above. The cheque/DD should be in favour of Council for Leather Exports. This may be sent to the Council’s Head Office in Chennai or Regional Offices in Delhi, Kanpur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Agra and Jalandhar before 10 th June 2017 enabling the Council to confirm the space requirement for the CLE India Pavilion in the All China Leather Exhibition and to include the participating companies’ profile information in the official Fair Catalogue.
Members may also note that participants will have to arrange their Visa on their own. However, CLE will arrange for the Invitation Letter from the fair organizer for two persons per company to facilitate obtaining of visas to participants. If any of the member-companies’ needs the Invitation Letter for more than two persons an amount of US $ 30 (Equivalent in INR 2,000) is to be paid in addition to the Participation Fee. Kindly note that non-issuance of Visa will not be considered as a valid ground for withdrawal, subsequent to confirmation of participation. Hence, withdrawal from participation after confirmation will not be allowed.
