Dengie Funding Fair

Maldon and District Community Voluntary Service are hosting a funding event for voluntary and community groups working in the Maldon District.

The event will include presentations from both national and local funders who will outline how to apply to them for funds and how they make grants. There will also be an opportunity to network with them and other local groups and to speak to Maldon and District CVS about their funding advice service.

Mental Health Wellbeing and Recovery Courses

High Sheriff of Essex Awards Scheme

The High Sheriff of Essex Awards Scheme is now open for applications.

These grants are to support those working to make their communities safer and better places in which to live. Organisations from Essex, Southend and Thurrock can apply. The amount that voluntary groups can apply for has increased to £35,000.

Projects which have received grants previously include diversionary activities for young people, schemes which highlight the dangers of financial scams, educational programmes about drug and alcohol misuse and initiatives which support victims of crime.

The deadline date for applications is 1 December 2017 and decisions will be made in February 2018. For community and voluntary organisations to apply for a grant and for more information please click here . Please note, there is a specific application form.

Think Family Network

The Think Family Network is for frontline workers from any agency who work with parents and families in Braintree, Chelmsford or Maldon Districts. It offers

In Maldon the launch event will be on Thursday 19th October between 930- 11.30am at Maldon District Council Offices, Princes Road, Maldon, CM9 5DL. It will focus on Early Help and Effective Support for Children and Families, whilst future themes will be shaped by participants.

Just Play!

Just Play is about playing football. It gives the casual 16+ years footballer a chance to just turn up to a venue in either Maldon or Burnham and play football.

It is free of charge for a trial period. Come as an individual or get a group of friends together. Players should wear shinpads.

In Burnham the session will take place in the sports hall at Ormiston Rivers Academy, Southminster Road, Burnham on Crouch, CM0 8DD, on Tuesdays between 5-6pm, starting from 3rd October 2017.

In Maldon the session will take place on a 3G Astroturf surface at Upper Plume School, Fambridge Road, Maldon, Essex, CM9 6AB on Mondays between 5-6pm.
