We currently have an opening for a Materials Manager at our Pryor, Oklahoma manufacturing facility. This position reviews production schedule/forecast and develops/modifies raw material and packaging orders. In addition, manages the receiving and shipping functions in warehouse and bulk.

Major Responsibilities:  Support the company’s safety goals and efforts.  Raw material planning: o Establish processes to effectively determine and maintain proper inventory of raw materials for the site based upon production schedules and forecasts by establishing proper Re-order points, Re-order Quantities, Safety Stock and executing the ordering process to its timely delivery. o Coordinate with Purchasing to leverage inventory to effectively manage raw material cost fluctuations and maximize profitability of the business. o Coordinate with other functions to support new product introductions and changes to existing products  Inventory Control: o Establish a disciplined approach to ensuring the cycle-count program is executed routinely where discrepancies are minimized to target levels o Work with plant management to ensure administration of all inventory transactions (vendor receipts, material usage, batch tickets, ship complete) are execute accurately and on-time  Container and Packaging Materials o Ensure appropriate stock and availability of all non-store packaging materials, containers, pallets and labels as necessary to support the fulfillment of timely customer orders  Rail & Bulk Shipments o Coordinate with bulk carrier to manage daily shipment of bulk tankwagons. Ensure tankwagon and driver availability and take the lead on communication between the carrier and the plant o Work with the carrier to forecast future needs and ensure the carrier has sufficient processes, equipment, and personnel to meet customer demand o Coordinate with Union Pacific rail and lead plant communicator to ensure timely delivery and switching of rail cars for raw material and inter-plant transfers  Perform other duties as assigned by management.  Improve material efficiency, product quality/consistency, housekeeping while reducing waste.

Required:  College degree with an emphasis in science or supply chain management or minimum of 5 years of applicable chemical industry experience.  3 years in chemical manufacturing, scheduling production, leading production and inventory control.  Must be able to interact professionally with customers, suppliers and employees at all levels of the organization.  Superior computer skills in Word and Excel.  Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques.  Experience in chemical batch processing industry is a plus.  Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communications
