Welcome! Please read this page carefully, sign it and have your parents/guardians read and sign it. Please have your parents/guardians email me with your name, course and block on the subject line by Friday. Course Prospectus: Geometry continues the student’s study of geometric concepts, building upon middle school topics. Students will move from an inductive approach to deductive methods of proof in their study of two- and three- dimensional geometric figures. Reasoning skills will be emphasized and students will broaden their use of the coordinate plane. Constructions will be used to illustrate geometric relationships in the plane. Appropriate technology, from manipulatives to calculators and graphics software, should be used regularly for instruction and assessment. Website: Please check my website daily for announcements, updates, notes, and assignments. Supplies: Pencils, erasers, highlighter, colored pencils, red ink pen, ruler, compass, protractor, 2-inch binder with dividers, notebook paper, graph-paper, textbook, and graphing calculator (TI-83, TI-84, TI-89).
