A.M. Kindergarten News April 8-12 Language Arts Change of plans last week….We pulled letter Z,z out of the Word Worm’s belly. This week we will explore letter V,v. We will add good to our word wall. I can not stress enough the importance of reviewing the words with your child at home. They should be able to say them automatically when they see them.

Through the story Mrs. Wishy Washy’s Farm, we continue to practice story sequencing and retelling. Be sure to ask your child about the story when they bring home the storyboard. Our new Book Box Book is entitled Peg Gets Wet !

Math We will conclude our study on money. I will assess the children next week on coin identification and their values. We will begin our study on measurement.

Special Activities Report cards will be available online on April 12. Friday, we are walking to the post office to put our Flat Selves in the mailbox just like in the story Flat Stanley. We will go rain or shine so please dress your child according to the weather. Our school store will be open to parents during conference week. If the children bring in money to visit the store, they will be able to go on any day. At the end of the newsletter, I have attached the price sheet for the store. The children have brought home a small yellow sheet to collect Box Tops on today. We would like to have 100% participation from the class. If your family has more than 4 Box Tops collected in the month please send them into school. We can share them with children who did not return their yellow page at the end of the month!
