Opening  The meeting was called to order at 4:37 p.m.

Good Things  Veteran’s Day breakfast 1. Good turn-out 2. Enjoyed third graders’ performance 3. Students were very excited to conduct the veterans’ interviews 4. CIC parent representative likes the Veteran’s Wall  GPISD Experience 1. Lots of parents from neighboring districts visited Moseley’s booth. 2. One family wants to enroll their first grader at Moseley ASAP!  Teachers Furthering Education 1. Three CIC members (Mrs. Agwagu, Mrs. Guzman, and Mrs. Green) are enrolled in college. Mrs. Agwagu has three more weeks until completion. Mrs. Green’s completion date is summer 2017. Data  First Nine Weeks’ Assessments 1. Compared to last year’s first nine weeks’ assessment, third grade’s passing percentage increased in both reading and math. 2. Compared to last year’s first nine weeks’ assessment, fourth grade’s passing percentage decreased 4% in reading, but increased 8% in math. 3. Compared to last year’s first nine weeks’ assessment, fifth grade’s passing percentage increased 6% in math, 7% in reading, and 14% in science.  DRA 1. There was a decrease in the number students who entered kindergarten as non-readers. 2. The number of students who entered first grade below grade level decreased from 28 last year to 13 this year. 3. The number of students who entered second grade below grade level decreased from 29 last year to 24 this year.  3-week data 1. Out of 14 schools who took the three week math assessment, third grade ranked #1 with a passing rate of 81%. 2. Out of 14 schools who took the three week math assessment, fourth grade ranked #3 with a passing rate of 81%. 3. Out of 14 schools who took the three week math assessment, fifth grade ranked #9 with a passing rate of 65%. 4. Out of 14 schools who took the three week science assessment, fifth grade ranked #2 with a passing rate of 76%. 5. 3-week science data for fourth grade was invalid because of scanning issues. 6. Out of 14 schools who took the three week science assessment, third grade ranked #3 with a passing rate of 59%. CIP Plan  CIC members worked together on each of the CIP goals deleting any information that was not needed and adding any information that was needed to better serve Moseley Elementary and its stakeholders. Adjournment  The meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
