ARAMCO (PPD/O&GUPD) CTS under contractor Al-Hoty from October, 2003 till to date A. Currently working as Designer Project Engineer to supervise the designing phases for various projects such as: 1. Smart Well Design Package Such as Abqaiq smart well 406 and complete smart well Such as ANDR-530 or HARD- 194 Design package included installation work procedure, scope of work, instrumentation control, data logger, flow control, electrical signal, wiring system, hydraulic test system, safety guide, mechanical work, civil work, and other related to Aramco requirements. I had developed and upgraded both model drawings for PDHMS and Smart well design packages.

2. ESP (OIL & Water Injection System) & HPS Providing engineering design detail and engineering construction details. Engineering details to cover both surface or subsurface pump and motor. In the subsurface using Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) while in the surface using ESP and Centrifugal Injection Pump. E.g. Abqaiq-384 Well is equipped with ESP and Abqaiq GOSP-2 is using CIP or HPS.

3. Abqaiq upgrading Power Line 34.5KV Participate and proposed a solution for Abqaiq area to provide high power line 34.5KVA to cover the current need and the coming 20 years. My proposal was adopted with upgrading modification.

4. Microseismic Surface facilities Developing a design package to install and construct an intelligent detection system that can provide data for the oil movement in the subsurface. Therefore the engineer will be able to product the direction of the oil and also to get an alert for any earthquake.

5. SCADA & DCS System The design packages that I developed show the Remote Terminal Unit (RTU). The RTU is the interface between the equipment install in the well site and the SCADA system. This communication goes through either radio or wire and currently fiber optic. Also we use the DCS to control web or small plant such as Abqaiq GOSP-2 Water Injection System or HRML GOSP-1 Water Injection System.

6. HIPS or SIL study report I developed a team to carryout a specific study for high integrated protection system. Study covers Shedgum, AIND and Abqaiq areas. Purpose of this study is to protect the GOSP and the trunk line from high pressure wells.

7. ESD Enhancement and H2S detector for Oil & Gas well The ESD will shutdown the well automatically, by using PLC logic control to receive signals from the H2S detector, Bush button, pressure control valve, temperature transmitter, pressure transmitter, and signal from the control room.

8. Cathodic Protection Design Package  Design package included installation work procedure, scope of work, power line high voltage system, pole addressing, transformer, electrifier system, electrical safety hazard, general safety guide, anode system, fence, panel mounting, and civil work.  Involved in analyzing different problems related to high potential voltage cross the flow line plus attend different meeting that related to the Cathodic protection.

B. Other Assignment “from April, 2004 to July 25, 2005”: Construction Project engineer as Site Superintendent for 1. Construction of the Cathodic protection Covering the installation of: Power line high voltage underground and aboveground, transformer, Rectifier, Cathodic protection station, anode bed, and level up the ground, 2. Construction of TIE-IN and Flow line Covering the installation of: different type of manual / hydraulic valve, flow pipe such as trunk line or test line under and above the ground, PID controller, data logger, data acquisition, web site support, mechanical work, civil work, coating, and corrosion testing station. 3. Construction of PDHMS “I had developed an presentation to explain the PDHMS” The installation of the Permanent Down Hole Monitoring System Coverer the down hole sensor device such as temperature gauge and pressure gauge, surface sensor device, Data acquisition unite and the solar power system or AC power system.

C. My work with Aramco required me to be familiar with:  Industry Specific Codes “ARAMCO standards based on IEEE standards”  Aramco Engineering Standards & Specifications  Drawing includes schematics, line diagrams, and technical sheet information  ARAMCO Safety Standard  Perform engineering studies, design, and project management activities for  National Electrical Code the design, maintenance, and/or modification of existing or construction of new Wellhead System.
