Most swim practices are at the Phillips Exeter Academy Roger Nekton Championship Pool. Pool is located in the Love Gymnasium at 60 Court Street in Exeter

Should your child attend meets? Yes! Meets are a chance to see how you have improved, what you have learned and what you need to work on. The coaches will make sure that your child is signed up for appropriate events. (stroke and distance) You can also leave us a note on the meet signup page if you child has a favorite event or stroke.
Meet Signup This year we will continue automatically signing up all swimmers for the appropriate meets. This means that if you want to attend the meet you don’t need to do anything. If you can’t attend the meet then you need to decline to attend, before the registration cutoff. Once the deadline has passed and we send out our team entry the entry fees are non-refundable and you will be charged whether you attend or not. If your swimmer cannot attend a certain day of a multi day meet please indicate that in the “notes” section.
How to decline a meet * log on to your account and go to the events tab. * Click on the attend/decline tab for the meet you wish to decline. * There is a declaration drop down menu at the top of the signup page * Click on the drop down menu and select No, thanks [swimmer name] will NOT attend this event. * Click “save changes” button at the bottom of the page – MAKE SURE TO HIT SAVE OR IT WILL NOT GO THRUOGH!
Knowing what meets are for your child
Events Tab: Groups that will be automatically sign up are listed on each event tab. Meet Schedule tab: On our main webpage you can click this to see our schedule and groups going.
*Note: We make every attempt not to change our meet schedule but sometimes factors beyond our control cause us to have to change a meet. If this happened all families will be notified by e-mail and the meet schedules will be updated.
Meet Fees: USA swimming meets cost between $15-21 to enter along with a per event charge of $4-5. These fees are outlined in the meet information which is linked from the event tab.
To check meet status or see events: Go to Events. Click on Attend this event. If swimmer is not signed up for this meet it will say “undeclared”, if they are signed up it will say “committed”. IF the meet entries have been completed for this meet, the events will be listed here as well. If a swimmer’s events has a stop sign next to it, this means the coach has removed the swimmer from this event. Next to each event you will see a #, this is the event number. You will also see a (d/#, s/#) d=day of meet (example: if it is a Fri, Sat, Sun meet then d/1 will be Friday, d/2 is Saturday, d/3 is Sunday) the s=session.
For more information about each meet : Go to events and click on attend this event. From this page you can see if a meet required qualifying times and the EST registration deadline. From this page you can click on (the meet name) which is in blue, this will list all the meet events and tell you which day and session each event is in. You can also get this info by clicking on view all meet events. Go to events and click on the meet name, if the meet information has been posted by the host team, you should see the link there. This will give you ALL the information from the host team regarding a meet including times, dates, location, directions, etc. This page will also indicate the registration deadline.
List of my swimmers upcoming events: Click on Events, and then the Reports tab. Go to Meet attendance for my account. This will show meets your swimmer is signed up for once the entries have been completed by the coach. You can print all your swimmers upcoming events and upcoming meets from this screen.
My Meet Results
From this page you can explore your swimmers swim times. You can search by comparing to “standards”, by course (SCY/LCM), top times in each event or by stroke, or by the date of the swim.
To see results from past meets, go to events, click on past & archived events and click on the meet name, a file with the individual meet results and full meet results (if available) will be posted there. My Account
Account Info tab: from this tab you can change or add an email address, see your billing address info and members currently listed on your account and their roster group. From here you can click on the member name to see all the info for your swimmer, including their US Swimming ID #.
Payment Setup tab: add credit card or sign up for automatic bank withdrawal.
Membership Dues Schedule tab: shows all standard fees associated with a swimmer/member (dues, admin fees, us swim registration fees). This does not include meet fees, t-shirts, etc. Click on invoices for this account in blue on the right hand side for detailed account information. From this page you can also click on show me billing/payment history for a detailed history of account payments.
$ My Invoice/Payment
This page will show you all account info and payment info. From here you can click on Learn about your billing summary, this will give detailed information regarding how to read TeamUnify invoices. You can also click on a specific invoice # for detailed information on that specific invoice.
**Invoices are generated on the 21st of each month** and are emailed to all accounts. All invoices are due on the 1st of the upcoming month. If you have signed up for credit card payment or automatic bank withdrawal these payments will be processed on the 1 st of the month. Late payments are subject to a $15 late fee.

Meet Jobs
All parents are required to be available to work at all EST meets in which they have a swimmer participating. At some away meets, EST will be given timing assignments. These assignments will be covered by the parents of swimmers entered in that meet. If you are unable to fulfill your assigned job, it is your responsibility to find a replacement **Failure to fulfill your job requirement will result in a $250 fine** Awards: Putting labels on ribbons and organizing by team.
Computer Operator: run the computer during the meet.
Concessions: prepare and serve food, collect money.
Deck and Gallery Clean up: clean these areas after the meet, trash bags will be provided.
Heat ribbons: present heat winners with ribbons at the end of each heat.
Job Coordinator: verify all parents are at their job assignments at the assigned time.
Locker Rooms: Monitor the locker rooms
Runners: post heat sheets and results, distribute heat sheets to officials and coaches. Collect timer sheets and turn into to console operators.
Safety Marshalls: insure the safety of swimmers while on deck.
Timers: Manually time and record swimmers times.
Console Operator: run Colorado timing system.
Team Apparel
George and Phillips is the Exeter Swim Team provider for all Speedo apparel and swim equipment. There will be a team suit fitting night on September 23rd from 5:00-7:00pm. EST team suits are solid navy blue speedo suits. We receive 20% off SPEEDO apparel and equipment.
There are several variations of the EST swim cap currently floating around-any cap that says Exeter Swim Team (EST) is fine to wear for meets. Each swimmer will receive a latex cap as part of their registration fee, silicone caps will be available for purchase for $10.
Each registered swimmer on the competitive team will receive two Exeter Swim Team t-shirts as part of their registration fee. We would like swimmers to wear these to swim meets. T-shirts are also available for sale for friends and family and are a great way to show your team spirit! 2013-2014 season t-shirts are $10.
All other EST apparel is provided Sports Promotional Outpost. Order forms can be found on the website under the “equipment/Apparel” tab.
Team equipment requirements are listed on the website under “equipment/apparel”. Please note that we have quite a collection of leftover fins. All swimmers are welcome to find a pair of fins from the bucket that fit them and keep them in their swim bag.
*Important Reminders*
*It is PEA policy that NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 12 be on PEA property without a guardian present at all times. *Use of PEA faculty locker rooms is prohibited during any EST event.
*Swimmers should not use PEA lockers, they should bring all belongings on the pool deck with them during practice.
*EST does not permit the use of cell phones in the locker rooms or on the pool deck at ANY EST event, including practice, home and away meets.
*In order to participate in drylands at Action Kids Athletics all swimmers must have turned in a completed waiver. Please stop by the front desk on your way in to your first practice.
* All new swimmers must turn in 2 copies of a birth certificate or passport prior to participating in Exeter Swim Team swim or dryland practices, scanned copies are permissible and can be emailed to [email protected].
PARENT CHEAT SHEET REGARDING CHILD SAFETY POLICY
Arrive to practice EARLY enough to park and walk your swimmer into the building. DO NOT DROP OFF! This will leave the swimmer unattended in the building.
If you Carpool and drive another swimmer please be aware of the rules and assure that the policy is followed. Make sure your child knows who the responsible adult is for that day.
If you are using a care giver, please make sure they are very aware of the rules.
If you bring a child who is not swimming please make sure that they remain in the Gallery at all times and are well supervised.
If you or a child under this policy need to use bathroom facilities, please make sure the child is supervised.
Understand that people are aware of unattended children and that children do wander. They should be in the Gallery and within eyesight of you.
Finally, be aware that PEA has brought this matter to our attention and that it will determine further use of their facilities. WE CAN BE ASKED NOT TO PRACTICE HERE ANYMORE!
