Fundraiser Protocol Can hold fund raisers but can’t mention the purpose other than a non-specific such as employee needs help. No names, etc. Can be verbally noised around but not advertised or posted or hung on a bulletin board. However, the monies raised can be donated to that purpose. In-kind donations may also take place as in the toiletries drive, soup for coats, canned food, etc. These are deemed non-monetary and must be voluntary.

Action Item: Brian and Kip will work out the specifics and create templates to use for mass mailing when necessary.

Action Item: Kip also mentioned that all flyers, etc. that go out mentioning specific agencies as in BIA or BLM, etc. must be signed off on by the agency head. Constitution and Bylaws (C&B): By-laws and constitution are still in the works awaiting governing board approval. Bill thought the meeting was next week but didn’t have a firm date yet.

Holiday Party The holiday party is scheduled for December 10 in the Forest Service hangar. Permission for hangar use hasn’t been obtained yet. Betty will handle that. Elaine will head the decoration committee and Teresa the entertainment committee. Kathy is going to check with the culinary institute at BSU to see what they can provide for catering. She mentioned they do cooking demonstrations for the food they prepare. Next meeting of the holiday party committee is October 16. Bill is going to make sure all the agency heads have this information ahead of time. Betty will reserve a room and follow up next week to all employees.

Future Events November 18 has been set as a combined function in the MPR. Soup for coats, book sale and craft auction will be the focus.

Next Meeting Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 12:30 p.m. in the FWS/BIA Conference Room.
