KHBC Board Meeting Minutes Monday, March 12th, 2012 Call to Order John Hauge called to order the monthly meeting of the KHBC Board at 8:05 p.m. on Monday, March 12th, 2012, Bloomington Ice Garden, Rink 2 Meeting Room.

Attendance The following Board members were in attendance: John Hauge, Rene Gelecinskyj, Mike Broveleit, Margaret Brandt, Kris Trenary, Lisa Lansdale, John Gonyea, Dave Miller, Tammy Barnum, Paul McCullen, and Garrett Smeltzer. The following general members were present: Mike VanDeKamp, Jeff Atchison, Julie Deutsch, Matt Walton, Terri Drevlow, Mike Zappa, Rachel Carlson, Delila Wineberg, Scott Mattson, and Sarah Magnuson.

Committee Updates

 Finance - Lisa Lansdale Small claims court will be utilized to collect the remaining very outstanding balances. An end of the year financial review in in progress which includes wrapping up ice bills and Etrain bills.  Ice - Brent Jensen / Renee Johnson (absent) The March bill for ice will be coming soon and paid upon receipt.

 Equipment - Garrett Smeltzer / OPEN position Planning ahead for next seasons evaluations, new pennies are being ordered. An application is being placed to try and get new practice jerseys from USA Hockey at no charge. .  Communications - Lisa Christensen (absent)/ Tammy Barnum Additional summer clinic information will be coming out soon, as well as registration information for it. ● Recruiting - Sarah Magnuson Intro to Skate sessions are on 3/17 and 3/24 at BIG. Heritage Days will be on 9/15/12. We will have a booth With a shooting station, as well as ice reserved the next day and following Saturday for Intro to Skate sessions. As part of Richfield’s July 4th celebrations, we will do a weekend event with Richfield.

 Hockey Development - Dave Miller / Jeff Burton (absent) / Paul McCullen / Drake Dietz (absent) Dave Miller was approved to head up the HDC for 2012-13. Dave will not be coaching a team in 2012-13, but will be on the ice with all the teams instead throughout the season. The summer program is set and will have on-ice, off-ice, and classroom components. Jeff Atchison will be working with the goalies.

 Guidelines - Kris Trenary / OPEN position Now is the time if anyone would like to revisit anything in the revised guidelines please contact Kris. 1  Tournaments - Robin Vodovnik / Margaret Brandt (absent) No new news.

 Revenue - Kevin Mendel (absent) / John Gonyea The golf tournament will be on Saturday, September 8th, 2012. Setting up a mixer was suggested as a revenue event.

 Registration - Monica Strout (absent) / Lisa Christensen No new news.

 BAHA - John Hauge A discussion took place concerning the girls program and their desire to create their own organization.

 D6 - John Hauge / Joe Vodovnik The presidents meeting will take place in June. Most rule changes will be decided upon then.

 Mites - Mike Broveleit The mites will be working the meat raffle at the VFW every Saturday from 1-3pm through June. Contact Mike to get scheduled to volunteer. Anyone can volunteer. There will be a summer mite program for girls and boys. Dave Wineberg has agreed to run it. It will take place on 6 consecutive Sunday evenings starting in early July.

 Girls - Joy Smith (absent) A summer Etrain on and off ice program for the girls will be offered for girls (no mites). There will be 21 on-ice and 21 off-ice sessions.

New Business The February Minutes were approved. Results of the 2012-13 KHBC Board elections will be tallied and results posted on the website. Old Business The Richfield co-op sub-committees will meet soon, so please give your input soon.
