Dear Parents/Guardians & Students,
Believe it or not, it is nearly time for the yearbooks to be distributed. We hope you have all had a wonderful and productive school year. It is now time to look forward to all of the fun the summer will bring and to look ahead to all of the excitement of the future. SOCIAL MEDIA/ONLINE INFO: On Friday, June 2, yearbooks will be distributed to SENIORS ONLY. Distribution of PRE-ORDERED books will begin promptly at 2:20 in the Commons. Due to the time it takes to set up and organize the books, we will not be able to give books out any earlier. Students will only be permitted to pick up their OWN books. They will not be permitted to take books for their friends. Please make sure you have your school ID.
If a Senior wishes to purchase a book on this date, we will begin selling the leftover copies at 2:45pm, and the cost is $120, CASH ONLY. Books will not be sold before this time. No exceptions. Books are available for sale online now through May 21, or until they sell out. There are a limited number of copies, and the only way to guarantee one is to BUY IT NOW.
If a student cannot attend the pick-up date, he/she may get his/her book before school or after school, ONLY, beginning Monday, June 5. Books will not be distributed during the school day. There are no exceptions to this. SENIOR CHIX JEYEARBOOK ADS/SENIOR DEDICATION PAGE/FRIENDS Underclassmen, who have pre-ordered their books, will receive their orders on Monday, June 5 in their English classes. If an Underclassman wishes to purchase a book, he/she may do so before or after school beginning Tuesday, June 6. There is a very limited supply of extra books and priority will always be given to Seniors who wish to purchase.
Please remember, this yearbook is produced entirely by students on the Yearbook staff in a learning situation. These students are responsible for layout, copy and picture selection on each page. Our pages are sent to the publisher ready to print which means that all photos, copy, captions and headlines are done at school or at home on personal computers. Given the limitations of time and budget, it is our goal to give fair and equal coverage to all aspects of school life from September through early April. We hold tight to these deadlines in order to ensure delivery of the yearbook for distribution. There are, however, some things over which we have little or no control: pictures that don’t turn out, changed or canceled dates, students who miss school or team picture days due to absences, people who do not turn in baby pictures or appreciation ads by the deadline. Consequently, any omissions or errors are purely accidental and are no way intentional on the part of the yearbook staff, the advisor or the publisher. Finally, every page is proofread at least three times before being sent to the publisher. We regret any misspelled words, missing punctuation, misspelled names, or missing names and offer our apologies to anyone affected.
All purchases are final sale. Exchanges can be made only for books with publisher flaws (ex: pages stuck together, ink blots, etc.). It will be the responsibility of the buyer to provide proof of purchase. A canceled check or receipt will constitute proof of purchase. Books not claimed by the end of the following September automatically become the property of the yearbook staff and can be sold at the current price. Refunds for unclaimed books are not available. The school is not responsible for stolen yearbooks.
We have enjoyed creating the yearbook and hope it serves as a collection of great memories for years to come. The staff of the Aquila wishes you and your family a wonderful and relaxing summer season!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Moxham Yearbook Advisor [email protected]
