NMS Summer ELA , Incoming Grade 6

Dear Parents and Future Grade 6 Students,

The Grade 6 Nichols Middle School teachers are excited to announce the 2017 Summer ELA Program. We are inviting students to engage in reading and writing experiences that connect to the world around them and provide them with a firm foundation for the 2016-17 school year.

This year’s program requires that all students choose THREE different activities from the menu that interests them.

As students actively participate in the activities, they are asked to document their experiences in writing, images, and/ or videos. Upon entering the 2017 school year, students should be prepared to share their experiences. Students will be required to bring their documentation of experiences to their “Read Your World Class”:

In addition to the NMS summer ELA program, students are encouraged to participate in the Middleborough Public Library’s reading program and to read additional books that interest them. We look forward to meeting all of you and discussing their experiences when we meet in September!

If you have any questions about this, please email Mrs. Borges: [email protected]

Warmest Regards,

NMS ELA Teachers
