Artisan creations made from the best raw materials, latest generation software for cutting leather and technical materials, masterly combinations of traditional sartorial manufacture using innovative fabrics and hand-made leather garments
Milan, May 25th 2017 - Arpel Artigiana Pelli and New Eventi from Vicenza, T EMME2 from Venice and Confezioni Sartena from Treviso are just some of the companies representative of the Veneto Region's economic framework that have chosen ORIGIN PASSION AND BELIEFS as the privileged showcase to present their manufacturing skills at the same time as Milano Unica scheduled to take place from July 11th to 13th at Milan's Exhibition Centre in Rho. ORIGIN PASSION AND BELIEFS is the Show specifically for Italian fashion and accessory manufacturing designed to promote contact between the production chain and decision makers (operations and product managers, style offices) from top brands operating in the international fashion industry. In this exclusive context, companies, including Arpel Artigiana Pelli Srl, New Eventi Srl, T EMME 2 Srl and Confezioni Sartena Snc., tell stories of an extremely high level manufacturing world. Arpel Artigiana Pelli and New Eventi are both located in the province of Vicenza. Companies with decades of history that have made quality manufacturing in the fashion industry their core business. The former will be exhibiting hand-made leather and sheepskin garments, designs and paper patterns that show the entire production chain of an exclusively hand-made clothing product. The latter will be presenting finished, top quality tailored models for men and women made by Italian artisans in a variety of fabrics. T EMME 2, however, is located in the Brenta Riviera area. They are equipped with the very latest cutting edge software for creating patterns and developing cutting technology for footwear and clothing, all in digital format. Simulated cuttings can be carried out with automation to check material consumption, even on technical materials such as carbon fibre. At the Show, the company will be presenting cutting processes on logged design fabrics and valuable skins, such as python and crocodile, for footwear, clothing and furnishings. Confezioni Sartena will be displaying outerwear and formal clothing, morning suits, dinner jackets and tailcoats, all rigorously made with Italian raw materials. For ORIGIN PASSION AND BELIEFS, the company will be exhibiting the front part of a hand-made jacket with animal hair interlining. This process guarantees softness and perfect adaptability to the body of the person wearing it, a great innovation compared to using artificial thermo-adhesive materials which give the product structure but also stiffness. Promoted by Italian Exhibition Group Spa – the new trade show pole generated by the merger between Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza – ORIGIN PASSION AND BELIEFS was created by Fiera di Vicenza in 2014 and, since 2016, has taken place in Milan in partnership with Milano Unica, as part of the Plan to promote Made in Italy devised by the Ministry of Economic Development to give the main Italian production chains, including the fashion system, and the most important trade show events of reference added value.
ORIGIN PASSION AND BELIEFS is the Show that completes Milano Unica and is the first integrated offer platform for high level Made in Italy manufacturing at the service of the Fashion Industry.
History of the afore-mentioned companies:
Arpel Artigiana Pelli Srl An artisan company operating on the leather and sheepskin clothing market, it was originally founded in November 1973 as ARPEL – ARTIGIANA PELLI inspired by Giancarlo Rigoni, then designer for Marzotto, with the help of his wife, Silvana Busa and brother-in-laws, Nino Carli and Gino Grandotto, whose love and passion for craftsmanship, immediately resulted in the manufacture of high quality products. The 1970s, a golden age in which fashion played a fundamental role, allowed ARPEL to expand, making Giancarlo and Silvana's dreams come true. They began to dedicate themselves totally to the business, creating a homely atmosphere with collaborators and customers and offering artisan creations in the very best raw materials, all lovingly made with attention to style and detail. The family imprint continued with the entry of the second generation, Stefano in 1983 and Lorenzo in 1989, and the company adapted to new trends by uniting innovation and tradition. Nowadays, with forty years' experience behind it, ARPEL is a privileged reference point for many companies that need a reliable partner in the production of leather and skin clothing. It designs and creates garments in top quality leather and sheepskin, all exclusively hand-made. Creating the garment starts with careful research, a distinctive element of their production: from raw materials, to accessories, to details. Next, the wearability of the line designed by the customer is identified and, on request, a style is developed and devised. Starting from the prototype, the next step is cutting and making the garment, followed by treating, approval and pressing. “Enormous love for our work is the characterizing element that has led us to collaborate with leading brands and successful names.”
New Eventi Srl For over 35 years this family-run business in Vicenza has been producing high quality ladies' and men's tailored clothing, meeting the qualitative standards of its clientele which are based in Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, Australia, Switzerland and the United States of America. The services offered on a daily basis, range from research into materials, paper patterns, prototypes and manufacturing, starting from one single garment per pattern. New Eventi's production partners are artisans specialized in various types of clothing, such as Jackets, Skirts, Dresses, Trousers, Shirts, Coats all rigorously produced in Made-in-Italy Jersey, Cotton and Silk.
T EMME 2 Srl Founded in 1981, T EMME 2 SRL cuts skins for leading companies in the footwear, leather goods, fashion and furnishing sectors. T EMME 2 has five CAD-CAM ATOM FLASH-CUT cutting systems and the very latest software for managing the incoming of DXF HPGL type files and for creating patterns and developing combined cutting in digital format. The incoming files are supplied by the customer, who is ensured excellent technical support and high standard optimization of raw material consumption. T EMME 2 is the only company that, prior to an order and with the aid of its LECTRA VECTOR FASHION FX cutting system, can inform its customers of the total quantity of material that will be used in the various types of logged or drawn textiles to be used for footwear, leather goods, furnishings and clothing. For those customers who so require, T EMME 2 also cuts technical materials like carbon fibre. The experience gained in over thirty years of activity allows T EMME 2 to meet the specific cutting needs of the most demanding customer on any type of skin, whether kid or calf, and even valuable skins like those of reptiles.
Confezioni Sartena Snc Sartena is a family-run business founded in 1982. It specializes in the tailor-made manufacturing of ladies' and men's outerwear, formal dress, morning suits, dinner jackets and tailcoats. Sartena's customers include leading fashion brands and prestigious stores both in Italy and abroad. The love and passion for tailored products are the ingredients that, over time, have become the company's strong points. The value of the garments develops in constant research for formal perfection and an Italianness expressed through a distinctive style and attention for every single detail. Training our staff to our particular qualitative standards and research into Italian-produced raw materials, such as canvas, rolls, shoulder pads, tapes and bindings, are the mainstays of our process. The interlining in the front of our garments is still obtained today, as the tailoring tradition requires, with a canvas made of animal hair, camel hair and vegetable fibre, without the use of any artificial thermo-adhesive materials, in order to guarantee maximum softness and perfect adaptability to the body of the person wearing them. In this way, the characteristics of the fabric are unaltered. Sartena combines the traditional manufacture of entirely hand-made garments with the use of technical and innovative textiles. www.originfair.com www.iegexpo.it
