At Manna on Main Street, There's One Thing We Know for Sure: Our Volunteers Are Simply

Volunteers

At Manna on Main Street, there's one thing we know for sure: Our volunteers are simply AMAZING!

Every day, our dedicated helpers do everything they can to make sure that Manna runs smoothly. Some volunteers bring food, while others come to Manna's kitchen to serve dishes to our neighbors. Some volunteers donate healthy afterschool snacks, while others help guests bag and carry their groceries. Whether they are Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, summer volunteers, retired friends or service groups, Manna is grateful for the unique talents of each volunteer.

If you would like to serve in our food pantry, soup kitchen or help our team with special projects, please contact our Volunteer and

Community Outreach Associate, Anthony Tarzia, [email protected] or 215-855-5454 (email is preferred). We welcome volunteers age 13+. Volunteer groups are also welcome! Groups interested in volunteering should contact

Anthony at least one month in advanced in order to secure desired date(s). Additionally, when groups come to Manna to volunteer, we will arrange for a separate orientation on their day of service.

Volunteers needed to help our neighbor, The PEAK Center!

The PEAK Center, a nonprofit organization which supports wellness and participation in all aspects of community life for senior adults, has been Manna’s neighbor on Main Street in Lansdale for many years. To better serve their clients, they are moving to space within Schwenckfeld Manor at 1292 Allentown Road. This move will also make the wonderful programs of The PEAK Center very accessible to the senior residents of Schwenckfeld Manor.

PEAK serves a daily congregate meal, much as Manna does, to their clients at lunch time. They need 3 volunteers each day from 11am to 1pm to help serve the meal and clean-up. This is a wonderful opportunity to interact with active seniors within a caring and dynamic community and is best for people who are available during the day and can commit to a day a week. For more information or to volunteer, please call the center at 215-362-7432.

Thanks for helping our friends at The PEAK Center!
