Vietnam Adventure Philanthropy Expedition Sample Itinerary I Southern Highlands Cycling + 3-day Build

Day 1: Arrival We pick you up at the airport in, for example, Nha Trang, a southern coastal city. We’ll meet for dinner as a group in the evening at a pre-arranged time.

Day 2: Nha Trang to Nhin Hoa (cycling day 1) We begin our cycling adventure on a relatively easy 31km ride north to Nhin Hoa. Our terrain will be moderate, with no sustained uphill climbs. Lunch is on the road.

Day 3: Nhin Hoa to Buon Ma Thuot (cycling day 2) Today we pedal further into the highlands. By late afternoon we arrive in Buon Ma Thuot, a relatively large and vibrant Central Highlands city.

Day 4: Buon Ma Thuot to Lien Son (cycling day 3) We leave the big city behind and ride into some of the most dramatic, lush and rugged mountain scenery in Vietnam. Our total cycling day will include some challenging hills & glorious downslopes.

Day 5: Dinh Van to Dalat (cycling day 4) Hop in the van for the drive to Dinh Van. Today is the final 56km ride into Dalat, a former French-colonial redoubt situated atop a mountain amid an alpine forest.

Day 6: In Dalat You’ll wake up in Dalat, a city of great coffee, flowers, fruit and crisp mountain air. You’ll have the day to do whatever the heck you want. The day is yours to explore Dalat, shop around, eat and drink, however you choose to.

Day 7: Travel Day We travel by private van down the mountainside toward the coastal city of Phan Rang, where we’ll set up for our sustainable 3-day volunteer build. Maybe it’s a playground, maybe a school renovation, maybe it’s building a modest house for a homeless family.

Day 8-10: The Give Back – Creating sustainable good in Vietnam We immerse ourselves in a fascinating local community and help its members

help themselves create positive change with results you’ll see after 3 days. On our last night, we'll celebrate our accomplishment and time together with dinner.
