The following statements, though not all-inclusive, cover general guidelines for Greek Village Assistants. Please read and check each statement to indicate your understanding.

☐ Authorization: I hereby authorize Arkansas State University Residence Life officials to check both my cumulative GPA and my student conduct record as a component of the RA selection process. I also give permission for qualified Human Resources staff members to perform a criminal background check on my candidacy.

☐Period of employment: Greek Village Assistants are expected to live in-house from approximately July 24th through May Commencement. Specific dates will be shared with the official Notification of Appointment. GVA’s may work either Fall Break or Spring Break as determined by the GVA staff and supervisor. Summer housing will be determined by individual chapters, the Leadership Center, and Residence Life staff.

☐Job Duties/Compensation: Greek Village Assistants are expected to perform the following duties in exchange for a furnished apartment in the assigned chapter house.  Facilitate the check-in/check-out process for chapter residence

Page 5 of 6  Report and verify completion for chapter house work orders when applicable and perform health/safety inspections  Submit all resident lists and additional paperwork by deadlines, as determined by supervisor  Serve as the “on-duty” representative for the Greek Village when assigned  Attend identified training session facilitated each August  Other duties as assigned

☐ Academic Success: Greek Village Assistants must maintain a 2.75 cumulative grade point average and be in good standing with the university.

☐ Meetings: Greek Village Assistants are required to attend all scheduled staff meeting, identified training session, scheduled for July 25th-28th 2016, and additional meetings announced by the supervisor.

☐ Outside employment: Greek Village Assistants are allowed to secure outside employment if desired. However, the GVA must be able to execute all assigned tasks effectively regardless of additional course or employment demands.
