Architect and Engineer’s Specifications

The loudspeaker shall be a Renkus-Heinz Model IC118S-FR or approved equal self-powered, single 18-inch bandpass subwoofer. The subwoofer shall be empowered with Ethernet networking capabilities that include CobraNet multi-channel digital audio distribution and DSP control and supervision from a remotely located computer.

Subwoofers that do not include multi-channel digital audio capabilities and DSP control and supervision will not be considered equal under these specifications.

The subwoofer shall include a single heavy-duty 18” woofer with long-throw magnetic structures, capable of handling 800 Watts of program power at 4 Ohms and a dual-channel DSP controlled Class D digital amplifier. The amplifier channel shall deliver a minimum of 850 Watts RMS to its associated transducer.

The subwoofer’s frequency response shall be at least 32 Hz to 120 Hz; maximum program SPL shall be at least 130 dB peak. Input sensitivity shall be 1.0 Volts for rated power output.

The subwoofer shall be provided with dual analog-AES/EBU audio inputs and redundant CobraNet inputs. On-board controls shall include mute, level control and a 10 dB analog input pad. Remote computer control of gain, mute, power on/standby, EQ, delay and compression shall also be provided.

The enclosure shall be constructed from Finnish Birch and equipped with a perforated steel grille and universal mounting hardware providing a minimum of 16 Metric M10 attachment points. It shall be no larger than 23" tall, 28 1/2" wide and 30" deep and weigh no more than 209 Lbs (Net). The finish shall be (black paint) (white paint) (custom color paint) (weather resistant).

The subwoofer shall operate from 90/136 V, 50/60 Hz AC (180/260 V, 50/60 Hz AC).
