1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE

1.5.1 Manufacturer Qualifications: Minimum 5 years manufacturing similar products.

1.5.2 Regulatory Compliance Requirements: Comply with requirements of authorities having jurisdiction for materials, installation and testing.

1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

1.6.1 Deliver, store and handle materials and products in strict compliance with manufacturer's instructions and recommendations and industry standards.

1.6.2 Store products indoors in manufacturer's or fabricator's original containers and packaging, with labels clearly identifying product name and manufacturer. Protect from damage.

1.7 PROJECT CONDITIONS

1.7.1 Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.

1.7.2 Do not deliver materials or begin installation until building is enclosed, with complete protection from outside weather, and building temperature maintained at a minimum of 60 degrees F (15 degrees C).

1.18 EXAMINATION

1.18.1 Verification of Conditions: Examine areas and conditions under which Work is to be performed and identify conditions that may be detrimental to proper or timely completion. 1.18.1.1 Interior use only: Residential, commercial and industrial showers; stalled gang showers, and pet showers. 1.18.1.2 Suitable Substrates: Concrete, exterior glue plywood (internal use only), cement backer board, and oriented strand board (OSB). 1.18.1.2.1 Structurally sound, stable and rigid enough to support ceramic or stone tile, thin brick and similar finishes. 1.18.1.2.2 Substrates are not to exceed maximum deflection allowed under all live, dead and impact loads, including concentrated loads: "L" equals span length in inches. 1.18.1.2.2.1 L inches / 360 (L mm / 9144): For thin bed ceramic tile and brick installations. 1.18.1.2.2.2 L inches /480 (L mm / 12192): For thin bed stone installations.
