AWARD CRITERIA: Be a Military Veteran who has shown outstanding service to our Country and Community Completed a Community Service project over the past year to make our community better.*Nomination letter must accompany application from organization that will validate your service Must show financial need to attend Mesa Community College Funds must be used at Mesa Community College for tuition or books in the Fall 2016 If you have received this scholarship previously, then you are not eligible to apply
SERVICE ACTIVITIES: On a separate paper, please outline per service experience: 1) Service Agency/Activity, 2) What your service entailed, 3) Dates of participation, 4) Total hours served at that agency, and 5) Supervisor’s Name and Contact Information. Grand total all the service hours performed.
ESSAY: On a separate paper, typed, in 500 words or less, please describe what service have you performed for your country and the impact it had on you. Please share how you have continued that spirit of service while you have attended Mesa Community College and how it has benefited you and our community.

______Applicant’s Signature Date Scholarship Value - $500 to $1000 Application due dates May 1st, June 1st, and July 1st by 5pm to the Center for Community & Civic Engagement. Scholarships are awarded at the MCC Service Scholarship Reception held in August (date to be announced). Recipients must attend this ceremony.
