BIG BROTHERS Attention Juniors! Applications for Big Brothers for the 2016-2017 school year are currently available in the Student Affairs Office! Please pick one up today. Completed applications are due by Monday, May 9th!

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES The following Community Service Opportunity is available for RCHS students: PHONE-A-THON If any student is interested in making an impact at Roman Catholic and learning new skills, or to receive service hours, there will be a phone-a-thon training on Monday, May 9th at 3:00 PM in the Annex. The training should last an hour. If you are interested, please sign up with Ms. Vassallo in her office.

ATHLETICS Free Athletic Physicals Every student who participates in athletics at RCHS must get an annual physical. Each year free physicals are offered for high school student-athletes at the Temple University Liacouras Center. The free physicals will be available on Saturday, June 4th. Pre-registration is required. If interested, please email our Athletic Director, Mr. Daniel DiBerardinis [email protected]. by tomorrow. Please use the terms FREE PHYSICALS in the subject line.

CREW City Championship results were: Novice 1x Sean Lay 6th & Anthony Romano 8th. Novice 2x Jayden Everett & Nicholas Kumpf 8th. Novice 4x Thomas Filip, Matthew Hurst, James Cepis & David Brotschul 3rd. Freshman 4x Aaron Kostyk, Omar Muwwakkil, John Cepis & Ethan Hack 8th. JV 2x Tucker Goschinski & Kevin Tryon 2nd. JV 4x Dylan Rostucher, Louis Iacovelli, John Meehan & Joseph Banford 2nd. Lightweight 4x Liam O'Connell, Cy Saunders, Joseph Brauckmann & Brendan Neal 3rd. Varsity 1x Tilghman Moyer 4th and Andre Harville 10th. Varsity 2x Andrew Johnston & Edward Dunbar 4th and William Robb & Johnanthony Fiorilli 14th. Varsity 4x Anthony Panchella, Kristjan Perry, Benjamin Guckin & Justin Frye 1st.

LACROSSE Saturday, Varsity was defeated by Lansdale Catholic 16-2. Both goals were by Joe Dougherty. The games against Northeast High School at Riverfield are cancelled today. Seniors will be honored at the next game on Wednesday, May 4th against Lasalle 3:45pm at Riverfield. JV will follow.

BASEBALL Freshman game was cancelled on Friday at Malvern Prep. Today JV travels to Neumann Goretti and Varsity will host at FDR Park. Game times are 4:00pm. Varsity and JV are dismissed at 1:45pm for their games against Neumann Goretti.

RUGBY Yesterday's match against Bonner Prendie was cancelled and will now be played Thursday, May 5th 7:00pm at Bonner Prendie.

VOLLEYBALL Varsity and JV are traveling to Lansdale Catholic today. JV begins at 5:45pm and Varsity at 7:00pm.

OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD Outdoor Track had a very busy weekend. Our All Freshmen 4 x 100 meter relay team competed in the 120th Penn Relays at Franklin. The team of Ollie Fisher, Karim Dittmar, Ryan Reeder, and Miles Jowers ran a time of 46.81 seconds in their heat.On Saturday our 4 x 400 meter relay team of Alex Torres (10), Mickal Haywood (10), Marvin Moore (9), and James Obeng (10) despite some misfortune finished 11th in the Catholic League Penn Relays final.

On Sunday the team competed in the Catholic League Southern Division Championship at Cardinal O'Hara. Individual champions included Sean Brown in the mile, the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Luke Doughty (12), Brendan Storino (9), Jimmy Polisi (12) and Sean Brown (11). Second Places were achieved by Luke Doughty (12) in the 800 meter run, the 4 x 100 meter relay team of Jamar Morant (11), Kendrick Wright (11), Dante Banks (10) and Marquise Cooper (10). Overall the team finished 2nd to O'Hara.

FOOTBALL The football workout scheduled for today at Temple has been postponed due to weather.

MOTHERS’ CLUB Roman Wire Bangles Now Available! Bangles may be purchased online at: https://squareup.com/store/roman-catholic-mothers-club or at the bake sale on Tuesday. $30 each. LIBRARY The library will be closed at the following times for AP testing: Today and tomorrow afternoon, from 5th period to the end of the day; all day Wednesday; and Friday morning from 1st period through 5th period.
