[4178] 2 1 2 Whereas, a faithful and lifelong member of Union United 3 Methodist Church at Wilson, he gave of his time, energy, and 4 abilities to serve as treasurer and church musician; and 5 6 Whereas, until his passing on April 18, 2015, he was devoted to 7 his family members. Although his brother and sister predeceased 8 him, he was delighted to spend time with their spouses and his 9 niece and two nephews, as well as their children and 10 grandchildren; and 11 12 Whereas, he was beloved by his Union United Methodist Church 13 family, his hospital family, and many close friends; and 14 15 Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of 16 Representatives appreciate the profound life and legacy of Charles 17 Hester and the example of service and enterprise he set for all who 18 knew him. Now, therefore, 19 20 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: 21 22 That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of 23 South Carolina, by this resolution, remember and celebrate the life 24 of Charles Robert Hester of Clarendon County. 25 26 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to 27 the family of Charles Robert Hester. 28 XX 29
