COLLEGIATE SPORT CLUBS GRADUATE ASSISTANT

Required Experience: Experience working with sport clubs as a student staff member or as a club officer for at least 2 years. Must also have experience supervising and scheduling student employees or paid staff. General knowledge in the areas of recreation, student leadership, recreational facilities and programming will benefit applicants.

Graduate Assistant Duties: Duties include day-to-day management of 5 student staff members and 50 club officers, as well as aiding in scheduling practices and events. The graduate student will assist the Coordinator of Collegiate Sports Clubs with publicity and marketing, planning special events, competitions, and team travel, program budgeting and quarterly reporting. Over the course of the graduate assistant’s appointment, there may be other duties as assigned, and opportunities to develop professionally.

Compensation includes a partial tuition waiver, salary, limited medical insurance coverage, and payment of the Student Health and Counseling Center/Wellness fees.

Term of Appointment: Sept 16, 2014 – June 15, 2016 (summer employment opportunities available). **Renewal Annually** Graduate assistant must maintain good academic standing within their graduate program.
