I. Call to order (6:32p.m.) II. Roll Call – 36 Senators III. Approval of Minutes Motion Crimson Masque, 2nd Alpha Xi Delta (AXD); Motion carried IV. Officer Reports a. President – Matt Faron (Matt) I have not been able to meet with President. I am looking into IBHE as on internship, but we will have to move on in trying to move people into that spot or not. b. Vice President – Paige Halpin (Paige) The Draves lost their daughter to a car accident. We felt we should contribute in support of this family. They have a performing arts scholarship and during HC we’re going to have a 50/50 raffle to donate to this scholarship – just be aware c. Parliamentarian – Harrison Heilman (Harrison) No report d. Clerk – Ellen Duffin (Ellen) No report e. Student Body Student Affairs – Joe Pilger (Joe) Last meeting we discussed possibility of phones in student rooms; we will be discussing that further during committee breakouts f. Treasurer – Luis Oviedo (Luis) I didn’t get the application online. It should be available online in the next two to three days. We are adjusting the date of meetings - three committee members can’t be there, so will make new date. We’re pushing back due date until the 6th of Nov. Any questions or receipts/purchase orders, see me during committee breakouts. V. Committee breakouts (6:40 p.m.) a. Student Affairs Committee - Joe b. Food Services Committee – Derek Barrow (North Hall) c. Finance Committee – Luis d. Executive Consultative Council – Matt e. Academic Affairs – Ben Sauer ( f. Housing Committee – Matt Henning (Bowers Hall) g. Information systems – Freddy Martinez (ZBT) VI. Committee reports (Reconvened 6:50 p.m.) a. Student Affairs Committee – Joe Via Paige: Still want DVD player in Commuter lounge – will mention to President. Backdoor of Mellinger doesn’t have swipe key. Recommendation for pop machines outside North/Graham. Parking spaces requested for Commuter students – will mention to President. Normal, large fridge for Commuter lounge. If you have specific things going on in the buildings, go to HR first and then us. If it’s campuswide bring here; but if it’s just your dorm, go to RA/HR first. b. Food Services Committee – Derek Barrow (North Hall) For Homecoming, there will be discount for family/guest. Halloween theme on Halloween in the cafe. Costume contest. Bruce is working on food menus for both upstairs and Scotland Yard. c. Finance Committee – Luis When filling out forms, please submit all paperwork to me until website has list of who you take individual things to. I will be doing everything via website because we have awesome PR people. Please look on there for app. and list of stuff and as soon as it’s there I’ll let you know. AXD: For those of you who have looked at the website, nothing has been submitted to me per se…the only thing that needs to be put up there is the minutes (looking for effective way to open them). d. Information systems – Freddy Martinez (ZBT) Via Harrison: The Internet is working; it may not be fast, but there’s not much we can do about that right now. VII. Old Business a. Illinois Board of Higher Education Matt: It’s in our constitution and we need someone to do it. We are taking self-nominations. Is there anyone who would like to nominate themselves?

Jerry Justice (Founders Village): I’m a Senior Poli Sci major. I’d like to go to these things. Jerry Justice was approved as chair of IBHESAC.
