Blue Springs Main Booster Club Scholarship Award Application

All criteria must be submitted to the Counselor’s Office at Blue Springs High School on or before the April 1st deadline to be considered for the scholarship award.

Written Statement: The Written Statement should include your educational and career goals after high school and the reason for your choice, and what you hope to accomplish in your life. Also include a brief history of your 4 years in high school, community service, etc. and how this has helped you grow as an individual. Your written statement is to be at least 400 words; but not more than 500 words.

Letters of Recommendation Guidelines:

 Thorough and personal  Minimum of one from a community leader/citizen (non-Booster Member)  One letter may come from BSHS teacher/coach/counselor  Reflect letter writer’s personal experience with applicant. Qualifications:

1. Must have participated in at least two years of sports or activities at BSHS. 2. Must be in good standing in respect to school attendance, graduation requirements and finish his senior year in good standing with the BSHS Activities Office. 3. Must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA. 4. Must submit Scholarship Award Application in its entirety. 5. Parents must have been a member of the BSHS Main Booster Club for two years during their child’s career, in order to be considered for this award.
