General Summary: Reporting to the Vice-President of Student Affairs, serves as Associate Vice President of Student Services - Director of Student Development & Enrollment Management. This position is responsible for planning, developing, and administering a student development program and the enrollment management functions at both Claremont and Keene and reports to the Vice-President of Student and Community Affairs at River Valley Community College in Claremont.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 Oversees the operations and enrollment management programs and services including, coordinating admissions’ staff schedules and attendance, managing the admissions department, and coordinating strategies geared towards delivering quality programs and services to students and enrollment management activities.  Under the direction of the Vice-President of Student and Community Affairs works strategically to plan, implement and supervise a comprehensive admissions program which includes: coordinating the development of college admission standards, implementing course placement standards, and assisting in the formulation of student development and enrollment management strategies.  Provides assistance and support for data collection (Banner, IPEDS and Veeras) and uses data to support decision making.  Coordinates college-wide Student Life /Student Activities / Co-curricular Programming, as well as; coordination of Behavior Intervention Teams and serve as campus Title IX Investigator.  Coordinates the implementation of the college’s judicial policies and procedures regarding all student judicial matters.  Manages the enrollment and retention activities at the Keene Academic Center with a responsibility to increase enrollment and maximize the utilization of facilities.  Jointly responsible with the Office of Academic Affairs to ensure fair adjudication in the disciplinary process of serious student disciplinary matters.  Provides direction and leadership to prospective and current students regarding admissions procedures, selection of courses, registration, financial aid, course placement assessment and certification/diploma/degree requirements. Responsible for maintaining student’s records and documents in accordance with college policies and protocols.  Prepares reports on student enrollment and retention, and participates in College accreditation activities.  Performs administrative duties associated with, maintaining a safe work environment, training employees, communicating job expectations; monitoring and appraising job performance; and managing employee time and attendance in accordance with CCSNH and College policies and procedures, the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement, and state and federal regulations.  Complies with all system, college, state and federal rules and regulations.  Performs other duties as assigned by the Vice-President. Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree from a recognized college or university in education, higher education administration, student services, counseling, business administration, or other academic discipline.

Experience: Six (6) years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, academic or career advising, student services/affairs working with student organizations and programs or related experience preferably within higher education, including four (4) years of supervisory duties concerned with program/project management.

License/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License or access to statewide transportation.

Additional Desired Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with recruitment and retention strategies and student development and leadership programs within higher education. Effective organizational, project management and probl em-solving skills. Familiarity with current recruitment and retention issues and trends in higher education, including co mmunity colleges. Ability to foster collaborative and effective working relationships with diverse populations and multi ple constituents. Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely both orally an d in writing. Ability to evaluate and analyze program effectiveness and resource utilization. Ability to work independen tly and exercise sound judgment in the performance of duties. Project management skills including the ability to define projects, prioritize and manage multiple projects, measure and evaluate progress and outcomes, and meet timelines whi le producing quality work. Ability to analyze and interpret data. Proficient in the use of technology, especially Word, Exc el, PowerPoint, and other graphic presentation software. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, recom mend and implement solutions in a timely fashion. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duti es and responsibilities as determined by management.
