The Henry United Methodist Women met on Wednesday evening at the home of Alice Bruns. The group welcomed Diane Kludt back after having spending several weeks in Arizona along with her husband, Dale. The April meeting will be at the home of Diane Kludt.

Several Henry friends and relatives attended funeral services for Jim Sharp in Watertown on Saturday. Jim passed away after a long bout with cancer.

Dennis and Barb Martenson and Irene Redmond attended the ECC band concert in Florence on Tuesday evening.

Jackie McNeil and family of Warner and Cindy and Hunter Wientjes of Clark were Thursday visitors at the Floyd and Donna Kittelson home. The Wientjes were overnight guests.

Calvin and Lois Schoepp were Saturday evening callers at the Doris Coyle home following church services.

Dan Wilson was a Saturday dinner guest at the Phyllis Hanson home.

Joan and Stephanie Boehnke attended the State A Basketball Tournament in Sioux Falls on Friday and Saturday. Natasha Gassman joined them on Saturday.

Marcia Montgomery assisted with the grade school spelling contest in Waubay on Monday. Sarah Montgomery was a contestant.

Harold and Jeanette Hansen visited with Ilene Paulsen at Watertown on Wednesday afternoon.

William Swedeen attended the Dakota Christian Youth Rally in Mitchell Friday through Sunday.

Phyllis Hanson and Chase Heer were Sunday dinner guests at the Dan Wilson home on Sunday. Terry and Judy Kos were Sunday dinner guests at the Bret and Karen Henricks home on Sunday. Additional guests were Lyle and Bev Henricks, Alan and Debbie Henricks and family all of rural Waverly and Brian and Kathy DeJong and family of Watertown. The group celebrated Elizabeth Henrick’s eleventh birthday.

Lisa and Lexy Griffin of Renner, Linda Page and Helen Van Sickle of Watertown joined Monty, Marcia and Sarah Montgomery for supper out in Henry on Friday evening.

Lori Page joined April Flemming and Peg Page of Brookings, Lila Kuno of Watertown and Denise Page and girls of Milbank for lunch in Brookings on Saturday.

Jackson McNeil of Warner was an overnight guest at the Floyd Kittelson home.

Chase Heer attended church on Saturday evening with the Keltgen family and was also their supper guest.

Marcia and Sarah Montgomery attended the ECC band concert in Florence on Tuesday evening. Five of the conference schools participated in the festival this year. Andrew Montgomery is a member of the Henry band that was one of the participants.

Stephanie Boehnke attended the 4-H Junior Leaders’ meeting in Clark on Sunday evening.

Calvin and Lois Schoepp and Doris Coyle were Sunday afternoon visitors at the Jack and Marilyn Henning home in Watertown. Following supper, the Schoepps and Hennings attended a musical concert at Bruce, SD. Doris Coyle visited at the Veryl Hoftiezer home.

Saturday afternoon relatives gathered at Prairie Lakes Nursing home in Watertown to visit with Harriet Kittelson and also to visit with Karyl Ann (Kittelson) Sandal of Phillip who is recovering from a lengthy illness. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sandal of Phillip, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Nelson, Des Moines, IA, Mr. and Mrs. Don Roe, Hazel, Rene Davis, Sioux Falls, Aggie Jensen, Parker, Evie Johnson, Joy Robbins, Jamie and Troy, Vickie Burchatz, Kayla and Jordan, Jolene Spilde, Phyllis Kittelson all of Watertown, Dave and Jackie McNeil and family, Warner, Penny Thyen, rural Waverly, Cheryl and Maggie Hovde, rural Vienna, Rick and Caleb Kittelson, Baltic, Gail Kittelson, and Floyd and Donna Kittelson.

Gary Hansen of Chatfield, MN spent several days last week at the Harold Hansen home. On Sunday he accompanied his parent to Corsica where they met Mike Hansen of Colorado.

Brent Hanson of Carthage, IL met his mother, Marie Hanson in Rochester on Tuesday where she underwent a medical check-up. They returned to Henry on Thursday after the completion of the testing. Brent returned to his Illinois home on Sunday.

Carissa Quale, Aberdeen, Dennis, Barb and Joe Martenson and Irene Redmond attended church services in Watertown on Sunday and later enjoyed dinner out.

Arlen Swedeen shared his near death experience during his heart attack with members of the Adult Sunday School class of Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Watertown on Sunday.

Mike and Lola Nelson met James, Jessica and Naomi Langdeaux of Brookings in DeSmet on Sunday and drove together to Mitchell where they spent the day and enjoyed supper out.

Erlene Mischke, Plymouth, Minnesota, Ilene Paulsen, Watertown and Harry and Clarice Severson of rural Clark were Monday dinner guests at the Harold and Jeanette Hansen home and celebrated Clarice's birthday.
