Position Description Selling and supporting the sales of our flagship products. As a Business Development Executive within our Sales team, the role will involve:

 Achieving revenue targets by focusing on major firms in the IT, Media & Telecoms sectors with the objective of establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with the acquired clients.  Creatively prospecting, pursuing and securing new business from strategic important organizations within a defined US territory.  Partnering with and arrange conversations for senior team members and providing support throughout the entire sales process.  Building a strong network of contacts and identifying early stage opportunities in key areas within the IT, Telecoms and Media sectors.  Building long term relationships and developing account plans for revenue growth to ensure consistent pipeline of opportunities.  Determining client needs and remaining constantly aware of opportunities to sell to different job titles within an organization.  Learning and understanding how business challenges drive the sales process.  Developing skills around strategic selling, presentations, proposal writing and pricing packaging custom solutions.

The right applicant will be goals- driven, inquisitive, highly competitive, relationship-focused and a strategic thinker with strong business acumen. The business development executive will be tasked with new business acquisition with prospective clients in the Telco, Media & entertainment and IT vendor space. Clients of ours range in scale from the likes of Verizon, AT&T, Facebook, Apple, Google, Oracle, Cisco, etc.

Sales and account management competency is important to Ovum. We seek candidates who:

 Offer a unique perspective.  Drive two-way communication.  Identify and align customers’ value drivers with Ovum products and capabilities.  Identify economic drivers.  Are confident negotiating contracts.  Assert pressure comfortably and professionally.  Possess an organized, strategic and methodical approach to selling.

Requirements:  Sales professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B sales, including proven success with inside and/or outside sales roles is preferred.  It is essential you be able to demonstrate a high level of competency in consultative sales, selling into C level executives. Lines of business that work with us are, but not limited to, Marketing/Strategy/Sales/Product Development.  Experience working with the Telecoms, IT, and Media & Entertainment industries is a big plus. Ovum views the converging world of these core industries which make up the Telecoms Media and Technology space as an opportunity to exponentially grow its business in the US.  Motivated, intelligent and ambitious sales person will exceed in this role.  A BS or BA (or higher) degree.  Experience presenting market research, competitive intelligence, decision support, and influence.  Demonstrated solution selling leveraging a consultative approach is desired.  Strong presentation, organizational, communication, negotiation both by phone and in person desired.  Developed business acumen and ability to understand the wider issues of the technology and telecommunications industry.  Relatable experience in client development and/or retention or support of clients or business partners.  Ability to work in an unstructured environment, process oriented, highly organized and extremely self-motivated are a must.
