Persuasive Paragraph

College and Sports

This college should have sports teams for students to participate in and cheer for, so students don’t have to transfer to other colleges to be able to play.

First, sports in schools generate tons of excitement for students and everybody involved with students. The students get excited because they can put all their energy and passion into something they love to play or be a part of. Sports in school boost the morale of kids who are interested in that certain athletic activity.

The hard work put into sports by students rubs off into everything that they do, thus making college an enjoyable time. Students will put that same effort of getting better at a sport toward things like getting the best grade they can in school, and much more so it seems pretty smart to do this. Another reason this college should have sports are, the sports programs will generate new incoming kids and keep kids from transferring to schools with sports teams in the future.

When a school has a good team kids will get excited to play for and cheer for them so students will definitely want to be a part of that school. For example, the

USC Trojans are an exceptional football team who has won two straight college football championships going on three. This school has since gained mass popularity as well as mass enrollment the past couple years mostly due in part to their success in sports. Nevertheless, there are still many non-believers who don’t think sports in schools belong. Even though this college is only a two-year school there is many other two-year colleges around the state and the U.S. that have successful sports programs. Community Colleges like Montana Tech,

Spokane C.C., and many others have great athletic opportunities at their school as well as great scholastic advantages. Montana Tech has numerous sports that kids at their school can participate in which include basketball, football, and many others. Spokane C.C. has a great baseball team that just last year placed 4th in the (NWAACC) Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges

(Spokane). To say that a community college cant have a successful sports program is ridiculous, because it has been proven to work and it makes the students happy whether a spectator, or participator. No matter what school, big or small, there are going to be kids that are going to want to play college sports at any cost. Nowadays, sports are as big as they have ever been in this world, and there are no signs of stopping. It’s just a matter of time, personnel, and money before this school gets smart and get some sports rolling or more students are going to transfer to schools with sports programs.
