Other main activities in the field relevant to the mandate of the treaty body concerned: Prof. Font is a recognized human rights researcher and activist for the reform and democratization of the criminal justice system. He has specialized in confronting, proactively and reactively, different forms of police brutality, illegal use of lethal force, militaristic policing styles and torture and judicial and political denial of police illegalities. Among other initiatives he was a co-founding member of Zero Repression Network in Rosario (1999-02), of the Non Governmental Inquiry Commission on the Summary Executions of December 2001 in Rosario (2002-) and of the National Coalition More Rights More Safety – More Safety More Rights (2002-07). Currently he is also active member of the National Alliance The Agreement for Democratic Security (2010-).
