1. Election of Cathaoirleach.

2. To approve minutes of 15th June 2007 and to note progress report.

Transportation/Health and Public Safety (10.30 a.m.)

Questions

3. Councillor Conway Road names in Celbridge

1 4. Councillor Ridge Will a pedestrian footpath be provided along the side of Jasmine house, Maynooth road, Celbridge as part of the development works currently underway?

5. Councillor Byrne Could Kildare County Council provide a footpath on the Ardclough road at the Templemills Cottages?

6. Councillor Byrne Will Kildare County Council provide pedestrian lights at the first exit from Crodaun Forest Park from Kilwogan Lane to enable residents a safe exit from their estate?

7. Councillor Byrne Will Kildare County Council review the entire Shackleton road area of Celbridge in view of the large number of serious crashes, which have taken place there over the past year?

Motions 8. Councillor Ridge That Kildare County Council provides road markings outside Temple Manor estate, Ardclough road, Celbridge as per submission from their residents association (Councillor Ridge will fund same from her discretionary fund).

9. Councillor Ridge That Kildare County Council requests the O.P.W. to provide suitable directional signage for Castletown house as a matter of urgency.

10. Councillor Byrne That the footpaths at 31 and 62 Willowbrook Lawns, Celbridge which are in a dangerous condition be repaired as a matter of urgency.

11. Councillor Byrne That the following works be carried out on the Castlevillage estate in Celbridge: (a) To erect a palisade fence between the estate and Kilwogan Lane to prevent trespassing and anti-social activity. (b) To cutback hedging and trees that are growing over the footpaths on the main road through the estate. (c) To put in place a railing to prevent children running onto main road at

2 the area near Castlevillage Way and the Lawns.

12. Councillor Byrne That Kildare County Council carries out a review of the Celbridge Town Parking Bye - laws as soon as possible.

13. Councillor Conway That the pillar, on right side of the exit from Temple Manor be relocated back to improve the sight line on the Celbridge road.

14. Councillor Conway That the signage on the bridge in Celbridge be reconstructed in a manner that improves the appearance of the bridge and the entrance into the village.

Planning (11.00a.m.) Motion 15. Councillor Conway That all housing estates maintain their integrity, in that no new roads are put in place to facilitate other new estates unless they are planned and provided for on the original planning permission.

Community Enterprise/Forward Planning (11.05a.m.) Motion 16. Councillor Ridge In accordance with policy RS 5 of the County Development Plan which provides for the” preparation of village design statements within the consolidation, strengthening and revitalizing categories”, please furnish a report illustrating the framework and timescale of the village design statement for Ardclough.

Water Services (11.10a.m.)

Question 17. Councillor Ridge Has the Castletown to Ballygoran pipeline scheme proceeded to tender yet?

Question 18. Councillor Ridge What stage is the County Play and Recreation Policy at and when will it be actioned?

Councillor Conway When and where did this area committee meet and agree to the removal of the proposal that the New Civic theatre be sited in Celbridge, from the full Kildare County Council meeting in June? Can a copy of the minutes recording this decision be circulated to me? Why were not all members of the committee notified of this meeting?
