Midway Wrangler Review By Pat DeCastro

Midway Swiss Days was another great success for all involved. Thanks again to all the teachers, staff and families who helped work in the Midway booth. And we had a great turnout of kids wanting for the parade. Our hayride was so packed with Midway Wranglers that our 4th grade students walked along to the side or behind the float. Thank you everyone for making all Swiss Days activities happen so smoothly.

We have two new BYU intern teachers on our 2nd grade team this year. Hannah Smith tells us she has moved all around the world with her family. She has lived in most of the western United States. She has also lived in New York, Taiwan, China, and France. She served an LDS mission in Italy. She speaks French and Italian. While living in France, she learned to ski in the Alps. She enjoys skiing, water polo, running and swimming.

Ms. Smith enjoys being around people. She loves children and loves teaching and is happy to be at Midway this year teaching 2nd grade.

Anna Simons is from Provo. She loves to travel and has been to almost every continent. She hopes to someday say she has been on every continent, even Antarctica. When not teaching or traveling, she loves reading, hiking and scuba diving. She is learning to quilt.

Ms. Smith is excited to be at Midway Elementary this year teaching in 2nd grade. We are happy to welcome these two enthusiastic teachers to Midway this year and wish them the best.

Just a reminder to mark your calendars for our annual Walk-A-Thon on Friday, September 20 here at the school. And school picture day is coming up at the end of the month, Friday September 27. More information on these two events will be coming home.

Fridays at Midway are Wrangler Spirit Day. Encourage your kids to wear their Midway t-shirts, or their cowboy wrangler gear. The class with the most Friday spirit wins a reward.
