Batavia ASP Youth Mission Leader Expectations

Please note: ASP participant application will still be necessary. Youth Mission Leader Job Description An ASP Youth Mission Leader acts in a manner full of integrity, respect and humility and is primarily responsible for assisting in the planning of the trip as well as guiding missionaries as they prepare for the trip. An ASP Youth Mission Leader demonstrates the following leadership qualities: great time management and organization; consistent communication skills, specifically in responding to emails and texts in a timely fashion and passing along information; positive social skills to interact with and encourage new youth and adults; a willingness to share and grow in your Christian faith. The Role of a Youth Mission Leader Youth Mission Leaders, with the assistance of adult leaders, will be responsible for:

1. Working and communicating with a core group of Youth Mission Leaders and adults. 2. Attending additional meetings to assist with planning the trip. 3. Actively planning and leading training and pre-trip activities. 4. Leading assigned missionaries in preparation and fundraising for the trip. 5. Communicating regularly with assigned missionaries. 6. Staying informed and updated on the progress of the trip. 7. Leading mission team during the ten days of mission including daily check in with ASP Summer Staff Application Instructions: Please complete this form – electronic submissions are welcome.
