The Deland Area Chamber of Commerce Honors Outstanding Efforts by the Education Community

The DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce honors outstanding efforts by the Education Community through the “Crystal Apple Awards.”

ELIGIBILITY: All teachers, area specialist, guidance counselors, administrative assistants, and vice-principals involved in some way with the classroom activities. (Please do not nominate previous winners.)

PROCEDURE: 1. Administrators and parents may see different qualities in staff as desirable. We would like one nominee from your school. This candidate is chosen by administration with the help of the PTA. 2. The nominee is judged based on the attached stated criteria and a brief essay describing the reasons the candidate has been nominated, limited to space accessible on attached forms. 3. When the Crystal Apple packages are completed, please enter them on-line at https://goo.gl/forms/xVevAtEPOwUIC2Gx2 or email them to [email protected] or fax to 386- 734-4333. To verify receipt, please call 386-734-4331. We ask that all packages are completed and returned by Friday, April 14, 2017.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all involved with completing the questionnaire for the Crystal Apple Awards.

This year, we will be holding a special reception for your nominees Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 5:30pm [location TBD]. The reception is an opportunity for all Crystal Apple Nominees to meet and greet with our area Elected Officials and the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors before the event. Also pictures will be taken of the nominees to be displayed at the luncheon.

Your nominees are cordially invited to attend the Crystal Apple Awards luncheon on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 12:00 to 1:30pm at [location TBD]. Nominees will be guests of the Chamber. Principals, other school personnel, and family members of nominees are welcome to purchase a ticket to attend luncheon.
