Notes:

A ‘senior officer’ of Council is defined in the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act) to mean:

 the Chief Executive Officer

 a member of council staff who has management responsibilities and reports directly to the CEO

 any other member of council staff whose total remuneration currently exceeds the threshold amount which is specified by the Minister for Local Government in accordance with section 97B of the Act.

The remuneration threshold was increased from $139,000 to $142,000 on 15 December 2016 and took effect on 1 January 2017.

This register is compiled at a point in time (on 31 December and 30 June each year). It reflects the number of senior officer positions and the total remuneration packages for those positions.

The total remuneration package includes:

 Salary

 Allowances  Superannuation

 Value of Motor vehicle (if provided)

 Leave loading (where applicable).
