I George Rice of Madison Township, Jackson County, State of Ohio being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making null and void all former last will and testament and writings in the nature of last will and testaments by me heretofore made.

My will is first that my funeral charges and just debts shall be paid by my executor here in after named.

The residue of my estate and property which shall not be required for the payment of my just debts, funeral charges and the expenses attending the execution of this my will and the administration of my estate, I give, divide, and dispose thereof as follows, to wit.

I give and devise to my beloved wife Ruth all my household furniture and the residue of my personal property after all my just debts and charges are paid. I do also bequeath to Ruth my beloved wife the dwelling house and farm where I now reside, to have and to hold the same to occupy and manage in common with my son George during her natural life.

I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah, son David, daughter Anne, daughter Nelly, son Allen, daughter Milly and daughter Polly the sum of one dollar each to be paid by administrator within twelve months after my decease.

I give divide and bequeath all the rest and residue of my estate real, personal and mixed of which I shall be seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease to my son George to have and to hold the same to him, and to his heirs, executors I assign to his and their use behoove forever.

I do nominate and appoint Ruth my beloved wife to be the sole executor of this my last will and testament.

In testimony whereof I the said George Rice have here in subscribed my name and affixed my seal this thirteenth day of August A.D. 1850. Gorge Rice X Seal (his mark)

Signed Sealed and declared by the said George Rice to be his last will and testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto in the presence of each other.
