DIVE CENTRE (R6050) COURSE INFORMATION

PADI Scuba Diver Course Description & The PADI Scuba Diver program is pre-entry level certification that enables you to PADI Junior Scuba Diver Course dive anytime, anywhere under the supervision of a PADI professional up to a maximum depth of 12 meters. It’s suitable for those who just haven’t had the time but have been thinking about getting their dive certification. The Scuba Diver experience can also be credited towards completing your ‘PADI Open Water Diver Certification’.

Junior Course Prerequisite  Clients must be 10 years of age or above (passport verification is required).

Materials Provided as part of the Course  Official PADI Open Water Diver Manual & Recreational Dive Planner.  Full equipment – Scuba Pro (including 3mm ‘shorty’ wetsuit).  Three academic lessons by DVD and slides in an air-conditioned classroom with a Certified Instructor.  Three confined water lessons training either in the private swimming pool or other confined water space.  Two certifiable ‘Open Water Dives’ (on completion and pass of classroom tuition).  Fully endorsed PADI Certification including diver card and wall certificate as well as being inclusive of all certification fees. Please note: sitting the course is not a guarantee receiving a Pass.

PADI Open Water Diver Course Course Description & PADI ‘Open Water Diver Course’ is the most popular diver program in the world PADI Junior Open Water Diver and your ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure. You get to learn about scuba Course fundamentals, equipments, and techniques. Plus, practice skills by diving in a pool or pool like body of water and experience several ‘Open Water’ dives with a premier instructor. Should you adapt, you could also continue your dive training with further courses. Virtually anyone in good health and reasonably fit can learn to scuba dive. Participants as young as 10 years of age may complete the PADI ‘Open Water’ Diver program and receive Junior Credentials until they reach 15 years of age and be able to upgrade to be an ‘Open Water Diver’.

PADI Adventure Diver Course Course Description & Whether you just received your PADI ‘Open Water Diver’ certification or have Junior Adventure Diver Course hundreds of logged dives, PADI ‘Adventure in Diving’ programs gives you the confidence, skills and experience to take you’re diving to a new level of excitement. It’s quick and easy, all you need to do is complete three adventure dives as well as the ‘knowledgeable overview’ session. It has been designed to allow you to choose a course that interests you and can be credited towards specialties dives.

Course Prerequisites  Junior Divers must be 10 years of age or older (passport verification required)  Be certified as having a PADI (Junior) ‘Open Water Diver’ or have an equally qualifying certification from another international training organisation.

PADI Advanced Open Water Course Description Diver Course If you complete the three ‘Adventure Dives’ they can be credited towards the & PADI ‘Advanced Open Water Diver’ certification. Junior Advanced Open Water All you need is two more ‘Adventure Dives’ (as you must have a total of five). These must consist of a ‘Deep and Navigation’ dive and also a pass mark in the Diver Course ‘knowledge overview’ session.

For an ‘Open Water Diver’ certified diver, you could straightaway complete five ‘Adventure Dives’ to become an ‘Advanced Open Water’ Diver. The Advanced Open Water Diver program shares the same aim as the Adventure Diver program which brings your skill, confidence and experience to a new level of underwater expertise.

PADI Emergency First Aid Course Description Responder Course Anyone could be PADI Emergency First Responder, everyday accidents do THE TAARAS. Dive Centre. Course Information. Page 4 of 11 (CPR MFA) happen and a person’s survival will often rely on the actions of the first responder. As a layperson first responder, you could provide that care. The course is designed to train in and enhance both skills and confidence to handle any emergency situation whether it occurs in or out of the water. This program is also an important requirement for PADI Rescue Diver program.

Course Prerequisite  Both Divers and Non-Divers may participate in this programme.

Materials provided  Official PADI (EFR) Emergency First Responder Participants Manual.  Use of CPR mannequin, gloves, ventilation barrier, splints, sterile pads, dressing & gauze, roller and triangle bandages.  Academic lessons by DVD in air-conditioned classroom.  Fully endorsed PADI Certification (inc. PADI Rescue Diver Course Course Description & The PADI Rescue Diver program makes the subject of accident prevention and Junior Rescue Diver Course management not only fun but extremely rewarding challenge that builds diver confidence. Until now the emphasis of your training has been on basic accident prevention and safe diving. This program takes you to the next level, expanding to include accident management and rescue techniques, which are suitable for different environment. Rescue Diver learns to look beyond themselves to consider the safety and well being for other divers. This is why it’s also an entry level for all PADI leadership level training.

Course Prerequisites  Be a minimum of 12 years of age or above (Passport Required)  Be certified as a PADI (Junior) ‘Open Water’ or have an equally qualifying certification from another training organisation.  Be certified as a PADI (Junior) ‘Advanced Open Water’ or have an equally qualifying certification from another training organization.  Proof of at least 20 or more, logged dives.

PADI Dive Master Course Course Description As the entry to professional levels in diver training, the PADI Dive master plays a pivotal role within PADI system of diver education. As a PADI Dive master, you will be able to assist the PADI Instructor with training of student divers and supervising diving activities for certified diver, snorkelers and skin divers. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the required professional level. The most fulfilling part of the course is learning to supervise dive activities while assisting with diver training.

Divers look to you for leadership and your confidence will grow with every breath. A Dive Master plays a crucial role as they strongly influence junior divers to follow correct procedure, thus ensuring safety while still making it fun!

Course Prerequisites  Be a minimum of 18 years of age or above (Passport verification required)  Be certified as a PADI (Junior) ‘Open Water Diver’ or have an equally qualifying certification from another training organisation.  Be certified as a PADI (Junior) ‘Advanced Open Water Diver’ or have an equally qualifying certification from another training organisation.  Be certified as a PADI (Junior) ‘Rescue Diver’ or have an equally qualifying certification from another training organisation.  Submition of proof of CPR and First Aid training within the past 24 months.  Have completed and logged at least twenty dives as documented by the individual’s personal log book.

Coupled with PADI’s (Part One) state-of-the-art education materials, the PADI IDC allows you to learn quickly and effectively and is the most comprehensive program in the industry. The IDC (Instructor Development Course) is the heart of PADI Instructor training. During the course, you will apply existing knowledge and skills while learning a key instructional system.. The new IDC, with its modern educational principle and manageable, positive learning structure, is more effective and more efficient.

The IDC is split up into two parts:

Part One - Assistant Instructor (AI) course. The PADI Assistant Instructor course is the first portion of the IDC – and can be completed in as little as three days. During the course, you gain additional experience while continuing to learn the PADI system of diver education. PADI’s AI Course adds to your abilities as a dive professional, while giving you the necessary tools to finish the IDC in the O.W.S.I (Open Water Scuba Instructor) program.

Course Prerequisites

 Be a minimum of 18 years of age or above (Passport verification required)  Be certified as a PADI Dive master or hold leadership level certification with another internationally recognized recreational diver training organization.  To have had a medical examination in the last twelve months and supply a medical certificate stating that you are in good health and specifically that you are fit to dive.  Have been a certified diver for at least 6 months and have completed and logged at least 60 open water scuba dives as documented by the individual’s personal log book.  Submit certified proof of CPR and First Aid training passed within past 24 months.  Submit documentation of any equivalent certification for entry-level, advanced, rescue and leadership-level course issued by another recreational diver training organization.(or PADI certifications)

During the IDC (Instructor Diving Course) you learn to manage and adapt the PADI system of diver education and to individual students needs. Dive Centre Terms & Conditions  Because of the generally tight time constraints for course completion as well as operational business levels we ask that all participant register at the Dive Center on their arrival day at the resort. This ensures the issue of your PADI Dive Student Kit, including a book of 150 pages for reading prior to commencement of classroom training.  All courses are based on an average length of time usually taken for completion; however this is only a guideline and aptitude and performance (rather than time) that play a major role in completion. Therefore, we ask all students to take each course seriously and come prepared as you may inadvertently hold up other students.  In the unlikely event, should the student unable to complete the dive course; any extension of tuition/stay will be at the student’s own expense and based on both the Resort and Dive Centers availability.  Core Dives are compulsory for Certification but a selection of Elective Dives may be possible based on each individual situation and at the Instructor’s discretion.

 Examples of Elective Dives may be a:  Night Dive.  Boat Dive.  Multi level Dive.  Drift Dive  Performance Buoyancy.  Underwater Naturalist etc…
