Hire one of our bikes and cycle around the scenic Manhood peninsular. Explore the quiet lanes of Chichester Harbour, the Salterns Way cycle path, discover West Wittering beaches & sand dunes of East Head, ride along the Canal towpath to Chichester or across the “Itchy Bosom” ferry from Itchenor to the picturesque village of Bosham. Why not stop for lunch at one of the area's many village hostelries. Maybe head out to historic Chichester City with its roman walls & Cathedral, or Fishbourne Roman Palace. Explore this fascinating area at an easy pace on our comfortable bikes. We offer a range of adult & children’s bicycles for hire from the campsite. Terms & Conditions apply (see overleaf). Please read them carefully! A £50 deposit will be charged per bike which will be refunded if the bike is returned in good condition. Helmets, locks & puncture repair kit are included in the hire charge.

(Please note that you must not cycle on the beach or take the bike on the beach as sand & salt water badly damage the gear mechanisms – lock your bike in the car parks / cycle racks nearby - a £10 charge will levied if sand / salt etc. is found on the bike) Cycle Hire Advice & Conditions  You must obey road traffic signs, signals and lights. Please use hand signals when turning & check traffic conditions visually that it is safe to manoeuvre. Always take your time and give other road users plenty of notice of your intention. It is illegal to take alcohol or drugs while in control of the cycle.  Do not cycle up or down footpaths. Do not cycle into one way streets the wrong way. Use bus or cycle lanes where provided and allowed to do so. Watch out for motorists opening their doors in front of you.  All persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by adult. You must remain seated at all times while on the cycle. Do not allow anyone to stand on the frame work. Do not attempt manoeuvres outside your capability. No animals or pets allowed at any time & do not run dogs on a lead that may interfere with your control of the bike.  Wear suitable clothing. Be sure that no laces or trousers bottoms or other items such as bags will get caught around the chain or pedals. All participants should wear high visibility clothing, especially light and reflective clothing at night.  Do not leave the cycle unattended or unlocked while in your care. The bike frame & wheel should be secured to an immovable object with an adequate cycle lock if leaving unattended at all times. Customers are liable for any loss or damage whilst the bike is in their care.  Any minor accidents must be reported on the return of the bike. Any major accident must be reported right away. In the event of an Emergency call 999 Police, Ambulance and / or Fire Brigade. Failure to report any accident may result in prosecution. In an Emergency always contact the Farm on (01243) 671469 or 07810751665.  Cycle hire is usually 9am – 6pm unless otherwise arranged. Cycles returned late may be charged an additional day’s hire. In the event that you would like to stay out longer you must contact the farm to see if it is possible to stay out otherwise the Police may be contacted because the cycle has not been returned. All cycles are security coded.  Photographic ID is required by one of the participants wishing to hire a cycle. The person who uses their ID will be the person responsible for the hire of the Cycle and all activities while in their care. Tourists not staying on the campsite will have to give details of were they are staying.
